George Clooney has a sexy way about him with or without his motorcycle, but there's something very alluring when he's on that bike. And now Tom Cruise is joining the motorcycle club with his purchase of the new Ducati "superbike." Tom is not one of my celebrity crushes, however, even I can't deny how hot he looked in Top Gun riding around on his bike. I'm not a big motorcycle fan myself, but sometimes it does seem to give a guy a certain rugged edge. What's your opinion? Does riding a motorcycle make a man seem sexier?

They're pretty hot...but they are so dangerous
1i love them i think they are pretty damn sexy
2Nothing is more hot than a sexy man riding a Harley Davidson V-Rod... The hottest bike in the world
3They are very hot. But I only like Harleys and they can't be stupid while riding. I grew up around motorcycles my whole life (my dad's a biker) and I just love em!
4doesn't do anything for me.
5My boyfriend's uncle and my little sister's boyfriend both died while riding motorcycles. They are not sexy to me at all, only stupid.
6I don't like them. I am very ANTI-bikes. You only have a 10% chance of even surviving a motorcycle accident, meaning 9 times out of 10 you'll die! My old neighbor lost his leg completely in an accident and he was a professional! But people around me still insist on driving them, so to each their own. I, however, do not get any added appeal from them. Sorry.
7No. I'm not so shallow to think a man's material possessions adds anything to his sex appeal.
Give me intelligence, confidence humor, chivalry over a motorcycle any day. Those are sexy qualities.
8Like Meike, I rate other more intangible things over possessions, but you can't tell how smart or funny a guy is sitting next to him at an intersection! Motorcycles are hot but I'm not into all the leather. Helmets are also very hot...anytime I see anyone riding sans helmet I think "I hope they're an organ donor so someone else can benefit from their total stupidity".
9Nope - My mom's cousin died on one...I don't dig them at all.
10Haha does it count that my boyfriend just bought a motorcycle?
But he was already hot to begin with, so I'm not attributing that to the motorcycle at all. Besides, they are so dangerous & I freak out just thinking about him riding one.
11Not for me - they add either a stupid or jackass appeal.
But obviously, that's my personal opinion - I know a few people with bikes!
12definitely, just not a harley. i don't know why but i picture older pot-bellied guys in harleys. it's really mean, but that's the image that i get.
13Not for me at all!!
I'm so glad my husband got rid of his.
14Oh I think bikes are fabulous. I understand why people would hate them if they've lost a loved one because of a bike. But they are so much fun. Part of the appeal is the adrenaline you feel because of the danger aspect of the bike. But I don't think it makes a guy sexy. An all ready sexy guy with a bike would definitely be sexier with the bike. But a lot of the guys out there on bikes are not attractive - the 300 pound guy with a long grey beard yellowed from cigarette smoke...no thanks!!
15Put me in the "relatives had died from motorcycle accidents" category. So no, not sexy.
The thing is, you can be so, so safe. But if someone else screws up, you don't stand a chance. That's what happened in the case of my uncle. And my two sweet cousins are now sans father. It's just sad.
16I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER date a man with a motorcycle. Because I don't like bikes? No, because I don't want to constantly worry about the man I love die on a motorcycle. One of my best friends died in a bike accident, of which I just had to drive past to be nosey. Driving by and recognizing your friend's motorcycle on the ground next to his sheet-covered body is not the best way to find out a friend has died.
17I know they're dangerous- really, I do- but my god, they are SO SEXY!!! i don't know why, but i just find them so hot!
18"You only have a 10% chance of even surviving a motorcycle accident, meaning 9 times out of 10 you'll die" - i'm not sure if this is what you meant, but just to clear it up: that doesnt mean nine out of ten people to get on a motorcycle die. it means 9 out of 10 people who get in a motorcycle accident die. i'm not sure what the stats are on chances of getting in an accident-that would be interesting to find out though.
19it depends on the guy- my ex-bf's roommate had one and i didn't do anything for him lol however the right guy on a bike, i have to admit it ups the ante a bit! there was this hottie lifeguard when i was younger at work and he pulled up on a bike one day and i was like woah lol. though i tend to agree with someone above- i lean towards harleys or a old school triumph- not so much the crotch rockets (though it its gonna be a crotch rocket it has to be a ducati!)
but i do also agree with a lot of people above- bikes scare the sh*t out of me
20It definitely adds sex appeal. A friend of mine used to own one and he'd always give me rides to class and pick me up on his bike (and made my friends super jealous). It was so thrilling to ride one...but I got over that phase pretty quickly.
The truth is, I don't think I'd ever want anyone I'm close with to own one. I talked my brother out of it and I talked my boyfriend out of it. I've seen pictures of motorcycle accidents and heard firsthand how gruesome they can be. I can't imagine letting anyone I love take that risk just so they can look good. So yeah, although a motorcycle is sexy, I'd rather that guys find something else to make themselves more appealing.
PS. I'm sorry to hear about your friend, BRANDYNICOLE!!
21My man owns a Harley Dealership, and it's how we spent out first date...out riding. Definitely adds sex appeal...but only if it's a harley...none of those lame honda shadows and such. Blegh.
22why? so he can want me to ride it and possibly fly off from the force (i'm 100 lbs and short). then, i'll be all mangled and he'll date some other chick while i live the rest of my life looking like Elephant Man's Step-niece???
23My dad has two and I've been on guy friends of mine a bunch of times, harleys or sports bike-I like 'em.
They are a tad scary to be on but once you are it's so much fun!
I won't say they add sex appeal but if you're into cars, bikes and such it's nice. (like me)
24I voted "definitely" because I think motorcycles look good, but reading people's comments made me think of another reason why men in motorcycles appeal to me. Not being afraid of taking risks is sexy! People are way too paranoid these days.
25Lyv, I'm really offended by your comment. Several people that commented on this post have had close friends and family die from motorcycle accidents, and your reference to us as "paranoid" is insensitive and mean-spirited, in my opinion.
26Awww I'm sorry, I didn't express myself really well. When I said paranoid I meant people in general, not the people who wrote the comments. I guess I was thiking of my mom, she just gave me a half-hour lecture on the dangers of drinking straight from bottles shared with friends. Still, you shouldn't be so uptight about motorcycles, it would be like me not using streets anymore because my cousin got hit by a car and one of my favorite teachers died hit by a bus.
27Unfortunatly, I'm spoiled for them. For one thing my uncle was paralyzed by a motorcycle accident and for another I've seen to many beer-gutted guys with a beard-down-to-here riding them. so NOT sexy!!
28I don't like Harley's at all... I'm with pink_elephant on that one...there are too many beer guts and super long beards to associate with those motorcycles. But I like the sporty looking ones , I guess like Yamaha? (im not really sure which kind that is actually, but it comes to mind, lol!) but whatever the sporty kinds are...those come with lots of sex appeal for me.
29It depends, but definitely NOT if it's a Harley. I hate those bikes and any bike that's obnoxiously loud.
30my boyfriend has a bike and hes very much into his cars and bikes. i would say i don't like them because I've had family members and friends that were hurt or killed in accidents so everytime he gets on it i worry til he calls me when he gets where he is going. i try to be as supportive as i can because its something that he loves, but i definitely don't think it makes him more attractive because he has one.
31I have found reading these comments very frustrating, and I find them offensive im sorry to all those who lost loved ones in bike accidents. I have lost people I know in car accidents, and i hear about more people dying in car accidents then on motorcycles. I am a motorbike rider and you do have to drive more defensively, but im also a car driver, and I find I sometimes feel safer on the bike. If you knew someone who died in a car accident would you stop driving or think cars were stupid.
A majority of motorcycle riders are not stupid, I do not think of myself a stupid because I ride a bike. And why are bikes stupid, I think car drivers are more stupid and take more stupid risks.
"Number of motorcycles involved in reported accidents (injuries, death or property damage) per 100 million vehicle miles traveled was 776.57 while the number of passenger cars involved in such accidents per 100 million miles traveled was only 423.13. In other words, you are almost twice as likely to be in an accident riding a motorcycle than riding in a passenger car. This is completely opposite to what I have asserted in previous messages. I stand corrected.
Now for the most interesting fact, as it relates to the theme of my previous message:
"The number of people injured per 100,000 registered motorcycles was 1,229 while the number of injuries per 100,000 registered passenger cars was 1,497. In other words, you ARE LESS LIKELY TO BE INJURED on a motorcycle than in a passenger car. THAT is the 'fact' that I have failed to clearly state in my earlier assertions. (1.5% of all registered motorcycles were involved in an accident with injury in the year 2000 while a full 5% of all registered passenger cars were involved in an accident with injury in the same year.)"
yes there is more to the article for the full facts http://www.msgroup.org/forums/mtt/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=242
32Listen ladies....i was just wandering along the corridors of cyberspace and i wandered into this place...for the record Harleys ARE great! They're the closest you'll get to kissin God right on the lips...you all just gotta be real selective who you get on the bike with....as with anything theres a danger involved but you gotta live LIFE and yopu cant let LIFE live you..
33I have read your posts and I give my sympathies to those of you who have lost loved ones to accidents on motorcycles. I salute the friends and family members who we lost because I consider them my fellow brave. They are our brothers and sisters who had a passion to ride. Sometimes, when you do something you have a passion for, sexiness is a byproduct.
34Sometimes, I sense the attention I get from the ladies.
It is nice afterthought. But when I am on the road, I am focused and my machine becomes an extension of myself and it becomes totaly ZEN. When I ride to work, I am living and feeling so much alive at that moment even more than most people feel alive during a whole week, month or year.
This is only one of my many passions. Fill your life with passion.
