Ok but how many of us "married and not using any type of protection" people went into the "unsafe" category?

I was thinking about that Greggie but I just decided not to answer. That should have been a choice, since I think most of us are in commited relationships.

I gotta be honest, I thought this was both a rude and self-congratulatory poll. I understand we're all girls here, and this is a Love and Sex site, but c'mon...that's just personal. Plus the options were confusing, for reasons people had already said. I think the fact that the majority had practiced safe sex isn't thanks to blog topics, but the fact that the majority of us are grown women who already knew about their own bodies.

I'm sorry, I think I'm just in a cranky mood today, but something about this whole poll and the announcement of the results grated me.

I don't think I ever voted in the polls because there was never an option for those who are married or otherwise committed in a comparable "safe" situation. I'm just wondering if stating "I never use protection" in a thread counted into the stats.

Annebreal, dont sweat it. I took issue, too, with the assertation that my safe sex practices were influenced by a bunch of blog posts. I also resented that these polls do little except to make the self righteous pop up to brag about their "correct" choices in the comments, most of which revolve around the conventions of married life.

Greggie - I totally agree! The one answer said something like "I had unprotected sex more than 10 times and I know how unsafe I am." Which I personally found totally annoying being in a commited, long term relationship with a known to be disease free partner. This quiz definetly needed some better options, and I'm glad I wasn't the only one a little peeved.
