I like mutual gift giving. It just seems awkward if it's one-sided.

Definitely agree with sweetk8ty..however, its WAY more fun to watch someone open a gift that you spent a lot of time picking out than opening something yourself. I just love Christmas all around

Whatever i receive is usually by mail so it's not so bad. If i care for you, it'll be both.

I would rather give because I hate getting gifts (it's awkward for me). I don't give people presents, but I give to charity in their name instead.

I am non-traditional, because honestly my family and I don't need any more stuff, but there are others out there that don't have anything, not even food!

It totally depends on the context. If I'm giving someone a great gift I know they will love, it is way way way better than getting anything. If I had a tough time and I'm iffy about whether or not what I picked out is something they will love, I get a little apprehensive about giving. That said, I am often not a fan of receiving, because people often give me random things that don't fit my personality at all, and I have no idea what to do with them, but I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings!

Both! Well...everyone has difficult people to buy for (I swear, it's always a man!) but I love it when I'm shopping and just stumble upon the perfect thing. And I think it's probably because I'm a little ditzy, but it seems like people always buy me the things I really wanted but never got around to buying for myself and I'm always shocked that they thought of it.

i like giving because it makes me feel good to know that they feel good/loved i like to see the reaction they give and i dont expect anything in return at all!

I like giving than receiving. Seeing others happy and giving others your thoughts and generosity give me GREAT JOY. The more you give, the more you receive---it may not be "materials" or "stuff" but blessings and grace which we all really need and which really matter

I love to give and really don't care if I don't get much. I wish I had lots of money and could do give bigger and better gifts, and more often.

I loooove giving, but i hate when poeple feel like they have to give me something in return. And i also hate when people think they can 'buy' people with presents. Such as buying love, buying friendship, etc. But if its a little something, hey why not.
