I like this version of bingo that highlights awful corporate speak. I mean, can we be on the same page about how empowered we'd be if we ditched terms like value-added? Bottom line: if we we just thought outside the box, we wouldn't need these corny clichés. Anyway, just wanted to touch base . . .

This has been around for ages, but it's usually known as "buzzword bingo" because of the buzzwords. In fact, you can get games of it for your palmtop, to play during a meeting. Just sit quietly and tap the screen....
1"drilling down" should be on there-I am so sick of that!
2BINGO!
Every time I hear a corporate buzzword, I want to throw a twig at the person uttering it!
I also feel dirty when I use 'em. I try to be proactive when I'm in danger of soon saying it, but it just happens!
3Oh my gosh I could have used that for my 1.5 hour long meeting, my managers always want to "touch base" ha ha

I don't miss these meetings and soooooo do not look forward to going back to them. One of my
jobs was at a major hotel and every month or so, the whole staff would have those types of meetings.
