We all have our ups and downs, but when you're feeling blue, it's important to do whatever it takes to pick yourself back up. Every once in a while it feels good to just be down so you can evaluate your emotions, but no one likes a cry baby. So ladies, do tell, what do you do to change your mood when you're feeling down?

I keep myself busy so I wont have to think about whats buggin' me. It works - most of the time.
1Usually the minute I see my boyfriend he makes me a little more happy...he just has a way of doing it!
2And having sex really makes you feel betetr too
And cooking, for some reason cooking makes me a little mroe upbeat
retail therapy baby! it may not be the right thing, but it always works...
3no, but seriously, I look to God for perspective and always find strength to turn it around.
Sleep, do homework, listen to music, play games..those things usually help
but most of all SHOP! and eating sweets LOL! i never gain weight so i can do that

5Read..
6Fantasy Fiction!
Harry Potter, Eragon, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Golden Compass, they all do the job.
gardening, sex, support on sugar, mom support, boyfriend support and so on...
7OH YEA!
8Shopping, duh, that ALWAYS amkes me feel a bit better!
Even if it's for someone else!
Definitely shopping... my mom, my sister and I all use retail therapy when we're feeling down... nothing makes you feel better than a new pair of shoes
9Call my mom. Or just get outside and go for a walk.
10Usually I take my dog for a long walk, it works to get through frustration and gives me time to think.
11I watch movies about or read about people who fall down and get right back up!!!
12Shopping, or anything really distracting.. Lately it's been the wii.
13Xanax!
14Okay I was half kidding, it depends on what is bothering me. I usually reach out to my friends, family, boyfriend, watch a movie, shopping and other things.
15Eat my favorite Thai place and drink a glass of wine under the covers. Good thing it doesn't happen too often or I would be a fat drunk hermit!
16I play with my kitty cats, call my 10 year old niece, take a bubble bath, read harry potter
17Ok an working out too. I like pshing my body and making it hurt when I am mad about something!
18When I'm down I tell my bf about my "condition". Most often he tries to get my mood better by giving me either a massage or his credit card so I can take a shopping spree! And, it allways works for me.
Sounds old fashioned, I know.
But getting new things for me makes me feel new inside.
Most often I don't even shop, I try on shoes and dresses. Even though I *could* buy, I chose not to and get a sence of power and renewal as I return to my bf with his money intact!
If I'm at home alone, I paint or write. Magic happens to your creativity when you've got the blues!
19Either, spend money, clean, listen to music or if it's really bad get drunk. Sometimes a combination of all of the above.
20Sometimes taking a nap helps, but I've found that doing some crappy chore that has been hanging over my head really helps. Like cleaning out that closet that I've been ignoring. I feel better when things are in their proper place. Other than that a glass of wine and a phone call to one of my parents usually does the trick.
21I usually cook something I wouldn't normally tackle.
22I watch a movie that makes me laugh and eat a candy bar or something.
23watch the Lion King (then i cry when mufassa dies)
24if its more frustrated/angry/down then i go to the gym and just run and listen to my music REALLY loud... like unhealthy loud.
Or if i dont a tv or gym around, ill just walk. walk and cry or scream or whatever. It was easier when i lived in the country... i could go out and scream and no one would hear me
if I'm at work and can't get away, I'll bust out my ipod and put some Queen on. It's impossible to be in a bad mood while listening to Queen.
25Otherwise I go for a jog or go to Target for some inexpensive retail therapy.
I pray about it, and maybe do some research to see what the Bible says about whatever it is I'm stressing over...(money, work, friends, etc.). I like walking and running, too!
26I walk to the grocery store. I don't know why but I love grocery shopping, and unlike other retail therapy, I get stuff I need.
I will also treat myself to a gumball from the gumball machine at my local supermarket.
27If I am super down I will do a hour of yoga (poses or series) and meditation.
Nancita, I love the grocery store too. I have never had a bad time at a grocery store, even if I walked grouchy!
28It depends. When I'm angry-down I usually go for a brisk walk with my iPod on and that helps. If I'm depressed, curling up into a ball in bed is my therapy of choice. That and eating Chinese food.
29I take a long shower to calm down, then curl up with either a good book or a movie, and a cup of tea, some popcorn, and my knitting.
30I go to the gym.
31Take my kids to the park, I get to watch them play and seeing them happy, makes me happy.
32I call my mom and take her shopping with me and to lunch.
33eat!!!!!!!!!!
34I usually hit the mall, but end up feeling more depressed by the consumerism I see and am a part of. Once I leave empty-handed, I let myself watch whatever I want on TV or DVD and take the time to cook something marvelous and special for myself. Maybe call my mom or best friend too.
35I'm an emotional shopper. It's not good for my bank account.
36listen to music, or have sex...they always work
37sex ,reading, or just snuggling with my boy friend. also cuteoverload.com makes me smile!!
38mm retail therapy is great. Or calling friends, reading long novels, listening to music, eating junk food..
39I usually end up cleaning my apartment from top to bottom. If that doesn't work...then I go out and buy new shoes or get my hair done!
40COOKING, RETAIL THERAPY, IF THAT DOESNT CLEAR MY HEAD, SEX.
41Hmm...when I'm down? Well I:
42- shopping,
- cooking for others,
- work out (Yoga),
- listen to music (anything fast beat!),
- read a novel
- bubble bath,
- movie night (or day),
- or if worst comes to worst...sex usually does it!
i second the xanax!!! hey, i'm getting married in 5 months, and i am more stressed out now then ever!!! i try to go shopping, but then i feel even worse about spending money, so that doesn't work...i'm into the whole take a long hot bath thing...that seems to work...
43...oh, and you need to add a nice BIG glass of wine to the bath to get the full effect
44Sleep.
45bubble bath!
46Uh, eat, shop, drink a beer, see my boyfriend...
47Sometimes I go shopping, but that doesn't always help, when things don't fit right and I can't find anything that makes me feel worse. And I like to watch stupid Japanese tv shows and Japanese boyband videos, as they are always so funny and laughing always makes me feel better(I do study Japanese so that might explain my fascination for these things).
48Working out with a good playlist on my ipod, shopping, or talking to a friend or family member.
49kimba! I totally agree with what you said about listening to Queen...a sure pick me up!
