I am going to do everything in my power to bring back this cheesiest of awesomest of dances: The Hustle. Born sometime in the '70s, The Hustle was the dance du jour for men with gold chains and shirts unbuttoned to the hairy navel (hairy men were in) and women with Diane von Furstenberg wrap polyester dresses and ultra glossy lips. What's not to love? Study this and study it well—I know I will.

John Travolta must feel so proud to have a move in The Hustle named after him. It really is an honor. Really!
1My friend's older sister taught me this dance when I was in 3rd grade. I think it was the first dance I ever learned.
2i didn't know it was so involved....i will study it and surprise my hubby with it (he's 10 years older than me and is always showing me the moves he learned as a kid)....hmmmm...that's an awful lot to remember...
3LOL,my mom will love this !
4Too complicated for me, I would fall flat on my face!
5yikes. i thought that whole thing was called the travolta, especially when he started doing the arm thing with the pointing.
