I have a female question: What's the best way to shave down south? It always seems to be rough and what not. Also, are there any new trends in female grooming? Any tips from my Sugar ladies would help!

Get Finishing Touch personal trimmer from Wal-Mart or Target. It's no more than $10 and does a great job. Find it in the shaving aisle. Use it when you're freshly bathed but completely dry.
1use baby oil and then put on the shaving spray. Then shave the hair.
2That's useful tip luisamapacha!
I shall..try it
I tried using a scissor (small clipping one) to do it before shaving it, and yes, I do involve my hubby in the shaving, it's so uncomfortable since it's like putting your 'livelihood' in someone else's hand...
I heard that Brazilian wax works well, but it hurts and itches too when it grows back so yeah, I don't feel too tempted to try.
3I think for Christmas I am going to try the Brazilian and get a big D made hahaha!
4I've shaved and I've waxed. Personally, I prefer waxing. Yes, it does hurt, and if you have a low tolerance for pain, I wouldn't recommend it. I like waxing because the results are better, and it lasts longer. I like to leave a small triangle right above that is nicely trimmed and manicured (sorry if I'm over-sharing).
To avoid in-grown hairs and red bumps, it's important to exfoliate down there. I like to do this when I shower.
Hope this helps.
5I think waxing is the way to go. Shaving I end up with horrible in-growns and it is easier. Hurts but who cares.
6Hahah glowing!
7I leave a little vertical strip...not too much...but it is hard to get perfect with a razor!
laser hair removal.- its the best
8it doesnt hurt and after like 6 sessions it wont grow back
9lather that baby up and just go for it with a new razor. after words put on some soothing aloe to make it never rash up. works every time.
10I will eventually have laser hair removal. I know you have to be careful with that. I've thought about waxing, but don't think it's for me, as I'm not waiting 27 days to shave, and then I'm not waiting the 24 hrs to have sex. Sorry, but getting waxed to have to wait a day or two to have sex just defeats the purpose to me! Thank you other ladies for tips and suggestions as well. I don't think any lady can have too much input on that topic.
11I swear by Bikini Zone Medicated Gel for after you shave.... it helps prevent ingrown hairs like a dream....I think the key to shaving down there is too make sure you shave after a nice hot shower with a razor that is new... to lessen the chance of ingrown hair shave in the direction of the hair growth and a strategically placed mirror helps to ensure u don't miss a spot... well good luck~
12No matter what your tricks are ladies, you should let it grow out every now and again. Not all the way, but for a week or two. I do NOT recommend laser removal down there, as we have hair there for a REASON. It's not trendy to have it, but nature made us that way. It helps to keep germs out.
13Newer razor, hot shower, some product to work up a nice lather, and then sort some of anti-bacterial product.
Here's a good tip. Try not to leave your razor in the shower all the time. Because it's usually moist and dark in there (when not in use), it's a good environment for bacteria. And since pubic hair is much more coarse, there's a greater chance of infected follicles. I know someone who got a staph infection this way. I had never thought of this until my friend got an infection. Anyway, just passing along useful info.
14Good point Rose, I wouldn't have thought of that either. I shave but lately I have been getting bumps afterwards. I never use to when I was younger. Maybe I should start waxing...hummmm
15wax, tweeze, whatever~ do not shave ever! if you do, the stubble will prob be there within a few short days. waxings not that bad after a while~ sooo worth the pain~
16Bikini Zone products are nice, but entirely overpriced for what they are.
I always soak for at least 5 minutes in the bath tub, then shave with a good razor and shaving gel (hair conditioner works just as well). Start off shaving with the grain, and gradually (and gently) work the razor sideways...
Afterwards, dry off and apply some triple antibiotic ointment, like Neosporin. It'll keep your skin soft and bump-free. Baby powder can be helpful as well.
17BABY POWDER!!
After you shave, pat on some baby powder.. trust me no more irritation!
18laser hair removal all the way! shaving is just plain ineffective and annoying (bumps, ingrown hairs, irritation, etc). Waxing is fine but you will have to do it the rest of your life and spend so much money ... I would rather spend the money on laser hair removal and have it permanently reduced, smooth, and not worry about it at all.
19I was always facing this dilemma until recently I took the plunge and went for a Brazilian. My boyfriend definitely liked it, and it grew on me (no pun intended). My biggest draw back for it isn't the pain (which if you take some tylenol before hand and you have a good aesthetician isn't really painful)or the waiting (only bothersome waiting for the day after to pass). Really it was the price. It's a lot cheaper to buy a razor and some products than to pay for a Brazilian (and a tip for the aesthetician) on a regular basis, it's not cheap! Well that's my two cents on the matter at least.
20I don't know if this is going to sound weird or not but I use my boyfriends clippers. Actually he does it for me. We have been together for a long time and are totally comfortable with each other. No pain, no bumps, no redness, looks clean. I had used a razor and other things before i met him and it was awful and uncomfortable. It was his idea and i love it, it works awesome!
21I've been shaving for about four years now. A word of warning - once you start it hurts like HELL to stop. Like, seriously.
I generally just use a razor in the shower to shave everything. I even shave my arms because I used to get thick black hair.. not attractive.
Good luck! I'm probably going to switch to waxing now..
22I get a brazilian all the time. It doesn't itch and it grows back thinner than ever. And it doesn't hurt . . . that much. LOL!
23I use Coochie rash-free shave cream. It works much better than shaving cream-- I use it on my underarms, too! You can buy it from slumberparties.com
24I lather, then shave all sorts of ways, i'll hold the hair down there tight, and shave upwards. does that make sense. It gives me a smooth shave above the goods down there.
25I do a combo of waxing and tweezing. Sucks when you get that "five o'clock shadow" down there and then have to wait for it to grow enough so that it's possible to wax/tweeze it again. Really damn itchy. Maybe I could switch to shaving, but I'm such a klutz, I'm afraid I'd cut myself.
Does that mess of hair really keep germs out? I have no idea, but it feels more like a prime breeding ground for germs? And what's the natural function of underarm hair? I don't know, but there are definitely stuff we no longer need but are still part of our anatomy. Such as pinky toes.
26i've done it all. lasering is amazing, but hurts like hell! waxing is great if you can take the pain. if you choose to shave, take a short bath first, then exfoliate with a body scrub, shave with a new razor, and put some Boudreaux's Butt Paste when you get out of the shower.

27I use men's razors when taking care of business down there. Women's razors never seem to do as good a job. The men's are sharper, so it's easier to shave the hair, and usually have three blades.
28i hate shaving down there because it leaves me INTOLERABLY itchy...what am i doing wrong?
29A Brazilian Bikini wax is the way to go. Yes, it hurts, but it's worth the pain. Especially, 2 weeks later when the hair hasn't grown back. If you go every three weeks, you won't need to wax as often, as the hair will grow back more slowly and with less thickness.
30I have used Noxzema bikini shavers w/ much success (if one can call hoo hoo shaving a success). They come in a 3 pack and are available at Walmart, Target, CVS, or Walgreens. They are small enough to negotiate around your naughty bits gently. Trim the area first so the tiny razor doesn't get clogged. Then prep the area w/ Skin Milk shaving cream (also found at stores listed above). If you encounter shaving bumps afterwards, I have found utilizing Tend Skin (while slightly expensive), is definitely worth it. Good luck in your quest to be bare!
