There's something to be said about setting the mood when you're about to get busy with your boyfriend. Some people like candles, others like bubble baths, and a lot of people like setting the scene with music in the background.
I actually prefer no music whatsoever, but if it's quiet enough and has no words, then I'm cool with it. What about you? Do you like music playing while you're getting it on? If so, what kind? Sweet, gentle background melodies? Loud rock n' roll? Erotic, sexual music? Or do you not really care?

Well. I guess soothing music, something relaxing is always nice to have around.
1Nothing too funky like Rap or Country music that's for sure, I would be too distracted by the music. Ha ha...
I am really not a fan of music in the background.
2I like hearing us, it's music to my ears
haha I do love music, but when I lost my virginity I suggested to my guy maybe we should play some music.... he grabbed the remote and pressed play....and I hear R. Kelly, then Lil Jon and Usher....For a man who is a big fan of Frank Sinatra why did I lose my virginity to R. Kelly and Lil Jon? Needless to say I never suggest we play music anymore.....
3I don't care...
4As much as I love music, I don't like music playing during sex. It feels cheesy to me.
5I like music sometimes. But if there isn't any I don't mind.
6As for what type... I prefer romantic standards and some slow stuff. I do not like cheesy love songs or anything distracting. So... like John Legend, Feist, a little Ella and Louis... these are OK by me.
For the most part it doesn't really matter to me. sometimes I like something slow and romantic, sometimes I want something rockin', but its certainly not a necessity for me. As long as its not something I hate like country or heavy metal I'm good.
7I dont like music on, it feels to cheesy and scripted.
8I've never actually had music playing during sex, so it doesn't really matter to me.
9I don't like music .. it's too weird.
10never had music playing, but would be nice to try it
but i guess if i did, it would have to be instrumental, lyrics would be to distracting
11I usually don't care either way but occasionally I do enjoy some Joe or Ginuwine playing in the background. Or Playa, too.
12Music is great and it can definitely make sex different from time to time. For instance, Metallica = rough and naughty, 50 cent = gansta fly, Beyonce = sensual...all so different and SOOOOO great!
13My girl always tells me to ditch the guitar when we get down...
14We don't usually turn music on, but D'Angelo is perfect for such an occasion.
15@ erthed: What about the Inspector Gadget theme?
16esix you are pretty funny.
17Inspector Gadget theme Esix? Mind you I did lose my virginity on a Saturday morning with the looney tune theme song on in the background. I don't recommend cartoon music - not sexy.
18i have a precisely calibrated love-makin' mix of slow jamz that includes a healthy dose of keith sweat, old school r kelly, and a substantial amout of eisley brothers. i haven't busted it out in a while. maybe i will the next time the bf comes into town...
the weirdest music i ever made love to was the shins. it was bizarre, because they're one of my favorite bands in real life and they're not exactly a "sexy" band.
19Haha Niko, woody woodpecker huh?
20Anyway, I don't mind music. But sometimes I do find it a bit tacky, rnb stuff. I prefer easy listening lounge music
I don't like music myself, but I need a copy of Krampalicious' CD, lol.
21I respond very strongly to sounds, music, and even silence, so for me what I hear can really affect how sex would be for me. I wouldn't care either way.
22music's great! especially when you dont want to be heard. =X i like slowjams and my bf's "special" playlist. hehe.
23nope i don't like music its annoying
24I don't care either way.... but I'm loud so I guess it's better for the people around us.
25I love music...smooth R&B or Latin Jazz always puts me in the mood!
26Haha. Before I lost my virginity I would hear some songs and thing "this would be great during sex." But when sex came along...they music has been off, mostly, and I haven't played any of the songs yet.
27Oh my, what's with the spelling? It's so close to the end of work, let's try it again!
Haha. Before I lost my virginity I would hear some songs and think "this would be great during sex." But since sex came along...the music has been off, mostly, and I haven't played any of "those" songs yet.
28Its nice to have some music sometimes, the beat sets the rythym
but silence and just hearing us is nice enough
29The more quiet, the better for me.
