As a child, I was very into Halloween. So even now, I still get myself to a bar or party every Halloween, and I always dress up.
Some couples go their separate ways when dressing for Halloween, while other mates opt for couples Halloween costumes. If I happen to be with someone when Oct. 31 rolls around, I make it a point to plan our costumes so they match. One year, I was a bee and my boyfriend was a beekeeper (aww). What do you think: Is dressing up with your significant other cute or corny? Please share in the comments.

They can be very cute!
1cute AND corny!
2Brooklynbee approves of your bee costume.
3I love the bee idea!
4I wish we dressed up in matching ones! But neither of us had the time to even think about Halloween!
Cornily cute. I love being corny as a couple.
5They can be so cute.
6You could have made him the bee, and you could have been a flower! lol
I think it depends how long you've been together. I'd never dream of doing this with a relatively new boyfriend. But, to be honest, I've never done it with any of my boyfriends - even my longest! Maybe this is something I'm saving for later.
7Cute! I love couple/group costumes!
8I totally read "bookkeeper" in place of "beekeeper." Now it makes sense.
9I think it's totally a "aw" thing to match...but it definitely depends on what the costumes are...
10My fiance and I think it's corny. Except for that one year when we went as Ozzy and Kelly and were making out all night. It was sick and funny.
11One year my parents went as Mark Antony and Cleopatra. They were pretty cute
12my boyfriend i are doing a team costume. he's being a bloody dog and i'm being michael vick...
13they can be cute but in that pic thats just corny lol and cliche.
14i saw a couple at a party who were the green team from "Legends of the Hidden Temple". That was badass.
At the same party, my friend's girlfriend and his roommate were a nurse and doctor, so that was hilarious. (the friend was a very convincing han solo)
it depends on the costume, seeing a princess and prince or a ball and chain or something cheesy like that i'd just have to make fun of
15CUTE!!!
16Last year, my boyfriend and I went as Winston and Julia from the book 1984. NO ONE got it. But it's still my favorite costume memory. I think it's definetely corny, but it was something I had to do at least once.
And am I being too sensitive if I'm slightly offended by the male doctor-woman nurse combo in the pic? Just slightly, but still.
17hahaha i am unsure. sometimes they're cute, sometimes their corny. last year me and my boyfriend went as a cop/prisoner. i was the cop of course
haha
one of my favorite ones is male/female mobsters. i just love the female mobster outfit haha
18cute.corny.funny. or scary (for the unlucky observers). last year the bf was Mark Foley and I was his page boyfriend. not very PC-ask me for the pictures-but it was so much fun
19I guess it depends on the couple. Some are just fantastic, then there are others where one is good and the other isn't. It probably comes down to whether you like them both or not!
20Totally cute, unless it's one of those lewd pre-fab joke costume sets. Plug and socket? No thanks.
21super cute and fun. ricky and lucy, fred and wilma, carrie and big.
22I think its cute....even if it is a little bit corny!
23JessBear... I thought the same thing. You're not too sensitive.
24My husband & I like to match... Last year we were Mr. Clean (he's bald...lol) and a sexy housewife. This year we were going to be Daddy Warbucks & Annie but we ended up staying home....maybe next year... I think that if they are done right they can be really cool....
25My aunt and uncle usually go as Cher and Sonny Bono (she's taller than he is) or Gomez and Morticia Addams. I think they're cute if they're done right.
The last time I did that, my (now ex) husband was Eric Draven from The Crow and I went as Sara...
26me and a past boyfriend went as fred flintstone and wilma one year and won a costume contest... we won $1000!! the next year, friends of mine went as pebbles and bambam... kind of cute. i've seen a lot that are adorable. but i don't like the sexual reference ones, those are kind of funny, but pretty tacky (ex. plug in/socket).
27theyre cute!
28I love matching costumes. Last year my husband and I were Shrek and Fiona. Super cheesy, but fun.
29I think it depends on what the matching costumes actually are.
30I think it's cute.
31I really like the creative and original pairs, but not the ones that you buy together (the plug and socket like everyone else mentioned). I adore the bee/beekeeper idea, too cute!
32I think they're adorable! There was a Mario & Luigi at the party I went to.
33I think they can be cute if done right. I saw a lot of Flintstones characters this year, but that was about as original as it got.
34too fun! my bf and i went as a sexy cop and an inmate this year. except he bought a mullet wig that i hated.
35I think it is up to the couple. Last year my boyfriend and I was snow white and prince charming, this year I was a cowgirl and he was a cholo. It all depends on the mood and what is trendy. Next year however I am going to be a mermaid and he will be my cast-a-way!
36I think that would be so fun and cute!
37But what struck me as very odd in that website with the matching his and hers halloween costumes (the link in the article) was that all the guys' costumes were wacky and funky and fun, while most of the girls' costumes had the slutty-sexy look to them.
Did anyone else notice/find that odd??
Since when did dressing up for halloween meant you'd be shopping at your local sex-shop?
oh yeah, this year I was Dracula and my boyfriend was a ninja. Though I would have rather had matching costumes
38Halloween isn't that big in Europe so we didn't really prepare for it much...
super cute. a few years back all my friends dressed up as jungle people. we went to castro and there were about 10 of us matching, surely caught everyone's eyes. good times.
