Not only do women have to worry about getting pregnant when they have sex, but they also have to worry about contracting an STI. Wearing condoms is a great way to protect yourself from both, while still being able to enjoy sex.

Guys may complain about using them, say things like they can't feel as much, or it's harder for them to orgasm. Of course, if a guy is being a jerk about it, then I'd be turned off and not even want to have sex with him with him in the first place, but sometimes it just takes a little gentle coaxing. Here are some tips to get him to slip one on:
- Keep condoms with you, in your purse, in these cute condom holders, and in your nightstand drawer. That way if a guy says, "I don't have one," you can say, "That's OK, I do!"
- Offer to put it on for him.
Want to see the rest, then read more
- Say, "This is really important to me, and it should be important to you."
- Say, "Are you ready to be a parent, because I'm not!"
- Use fun condoms like ones that glow in the dark, ones with ribs, or even Kamasutra condoms and tell him that it really turns you on.
- Say that the only way you'll have sex is if he wears one — period.
If you have to try more than one of these tips, you might want to re-think sharing that kind of intimacy with him.

I'm glad I'm in a committed relationship. There are some things about being single that I sure don't miss. Knowing what we know these days I don't understand how guys can still argue this.
1Hahah way to break the ice - "Are you ready to be a parents?!!?!"
But yes, condoms are good and should be used
2I cant believe in this day and age its still a task to get a guy to do it. Strange
3The last one is what I used to do. No condom? No sex. No balloon? No party.
4nikodarling I agree.
I've been with my boyfriend almost 4 yrs and I'm glad this is something I don't have to think about.
5no glove no love! haha..
6Or say, "I can't have sex with you if you don't wear a condom." That usually works!
7It's 2007 and this should be a non-issue. But let's face it: If it comes down to either wearing the condom and gettin' some or not wearing the condom and not gettin' some, he'll wear the condom. So that should do the trick.
8come on! just don't have sex unless he's wearing a condom! like a few people have said already... he'll get the hint, and he'll wear one.
9It is 2007, and this shouldn't be an issue, but sadly there are still a few jerky men out there who feel it's their decision soley to wear or not wear the condom.
I would say that at this point, nice gestures go right out the window.
10So glad I don't have to deal with this anymore!
11No condom, no play. If i have to talk someone into it? it's not going to happen. If i have to take it that far, he's not worth it.
12I just don't understand how guys can refuse to wear condoms. Like RockandRepublic said No condom, no play. It's a pretty simple idea.
And a random side note..Once I was with someone and we used a glow in the dark condom and the powder glow in the dark stuff got EVERYWHERE. So...While you should use condoms maybe think twice about glow in the dark ones
13yeah marci! Why bother with the first 6 ways to convince him? I'd just be like, no condom, no sex. Simple as that.
14The last tip should be enough for him to come around. But in this day and age putting one on should be a no-brainer.
15i agree with rock and republic. no condom no sex- simple as that and if i have to ask more than once i question sleeping with you at all.
16If I have to argue about it, thn there's no point sleeping with him.
17A guy who isn't as committed to keeping clean and staying out of parenthood as I am would never ever get any lovin' from me in the first place.
18I LOLed @: That's okay, I do!
