Who needs Black Lightning--the company that sells lecture notes to procrastinating students--when you've got Christie's? Apparently, the world-famous auction house is auctioning off Britney Spears' hand-written analysis of Sophocles' tragedy Antigone at a starting bid of $500. From what I can gather, the first line reads: "Antigone is about a girl who looses(sic) her brother during a war." Add your own joke here.

Um, that is part of the story of Antigone. In the story Antigone, Antigone fights to have her brother buried cause her 2 brothers are killed and only one is buried with greek honors. it's graphic, but that's is what the story is about.
1How lame are they to try an get money off of Britneys supposed homework?
2Blythe, I think the point is not the fact that the sentence is wrong, but that the word "lose" is spelled "loose". Freudian slip?
3Here's a bigger image.
Brilliant analysis, I think. The tension between religious and civil obligations really comes out in the essay. A+, Britney. I can't wait to see her essay about Animal Farm, a story about talking barnyard animals.
I just hope she was at most a high school freshman when she wrote this. But I guess most people aren't into her because of her wits, so who am I to talk?
4oh, did she spell the word wrong???
That's understandable though, most people if they read the story "antigone" will read it around the 9th-10th grade in english classes(cause it's greek mythology) in most schools. so that means she was real young.
by the way, whom dosen't fall victim to spelling errors every once in awhile, lol.
5"Whom" is incorrect grammar usage in this case, Blythe.
