When I was a kid, my Kindergarten teacher had to make a special call to my mom to say, "Your daughter has a hard time sharing." It was so true. I coveted the princess gown in the dress-up area, I never wanted to give up the swing at recess, and I never let anyone borrow my crayons. I knew other kids weren't as careful as I was, so I put my 6-year-old foot down and vowed never to share.
I grew out of that as I got older, when I realized that if I borrowed my friend's clothes, my wardrobe almost tripled. We'd even go shopping and plan our purchases based on what we all liked, so we'd have one of each.
I still continued to share occasionally, but I learned that certain friends weren't very responsible with my stuff so now I only share with a couple of close friends who I can really trust.
So what about you? Are you into sharing your clothes? Will you only let certain people borrow from you? Will you only lend away stuff you don't really care about? Or are you done with sharing altogether?

I'll let my friends borrow my clothes...btu I make sure to get them back.
1I mean, if I want to borrow somehting of theirs soemtimes then I can because I let them borrow mine.
As logn as they don't ruin, over wear, and return it I'm fine
no more sharing for me
2i let a friend borrow a pair of Maricano pants and i didnt get them back for OVER A YEAR and they looked like they had been across the universe and back...never again!
Marciano oops
3My roomate has some amazing vintage clothes that I ask to wear all of the time. I'm not real big on lending out my jeans or pants, but she wears lots of my tops.
4no sharing..
5I share my clothes with my really close friends only. My sister's always trying to wear my shoes but her feet are bigger than mine. Dear I sympathize with you because I remember being six and having a brand new box of crayons on the first day of school and the teacher was trying to make me put them into the big bucket of peeled and broken crayons so that we could all "share" I was like, hmm no thanks!
6Nerp, no sharing for me. I grew up wearing hand me downs and i still go thrift shopping but i wont let anyone borrow anything ever. Too many things never came back
7I like to give clothes away I dont' wear anymore, but I don't like to share them. People have a surprising disrespect for other's people things, and if you ever see the item again, it's usually not worth getting back.
8See I am so scorned from my little sister ALWAYS stealing (and loosing/ruining) my clothes so I HATE when people borrow my clothes. I am scared I will never see them again!
9I don't have anyone to share with, but I wouldn't share clothes even if I did.
10A few years back I used to share my clothes with my sis. But I'm not longer a small and neither is she. She's more of an XS and I'm a M. *shrugs* My feet are bigger than hers too. We're like night and day though, totally different people, totally different tastes.
11Nobody here is a sharer? bizarrely, my sister and I are the same height, weight and shoe size, so we trade basically everything we own. Usually we don't even remember who originally bought what. It makes for an awesome double wardrobe. We're really lucky about that.
12No sharing for me. I've lost too many cute outfits that way.
13I have never had anyone to share with, so I haven't even thought about it.
14i don't my clothe with people
15I share stellarcourtney!
16Don't
17Only with certain people- like my best friend or cousins
18cuz not everyone is resposible and not everyone is hygienic.
I don't mind sharing because I like borrowing friends' clothes too! Of course, they have to be people I trust.
19And, of course, I borrow things from my mom & sister. It's just something I grew up with.
20My mom, sister, and I do a lot of swapping. When we put together a pile for charity, the other two get first dibs. And back in high school my sister and I would occasionally share. But my wardrobe is not enviable, and I don't care enough about clothes to borrow other people's. I kind of don't want other people wearing my clothes, though, because if they ruin them or don't bring them back, then I have to go shopping, and I hate shopping.
21I did share once and never got my stuff back so I don't share anymore.
22I only let my sisters share my clothes. No friends...
23The last time I let someone borrow my clothes... was a long time ago! Come to think of it, I think i am elle borrowed something! Haha. But yeah, it's only with people I trust.
24If my friends were more responsible, I might let them borrow things. I used to let anybody borrow whatever they asked for, but I really got taken advantage of. Sometimes things would come back stained, ripped, or pilled up, and other times they wouldn't come back at all. Now I have a strict no-borrow policy.
25i don't have a sister and i am not the same size as any of my friends. we are all different. although, one time in high school, a friend and i switched homecoming dresses so that we wouldn't have to go out and buy a new one. that was fun!
26I share with my mom and sister. With friends I'm more hesitant since a friend of mine once borrowed a big bag of winter clothes for her trip to Europe 5 years ago, and I have not seen those clothes ever since
27NO ONE. MY friend constantly would borrow my shirts. I am a size 6 - she is a size 12. unfortunately she believes we are the same size. It frustrates me SO much.
28she also borrows my pants too, and stretches them to no limit. i could care less about her size but i dislike how she thinks we are both a size 6.
29I totally agree with Marci.
30When I was younger, but my immediate family, sure why not?
31I'll let close friends borrow stuff like tops and shoes, as long as I don't want to wear them in the next few days, and as long as they offer to let me borrow stuff from time to time. It has to be reciprocated.
32Nope--no sharing. Every time I've let almost anyone borrow anything, I never got it back (even lame things like videotapes!). Also, it doesn't matter anyway since my two best friends don't even have the same taste in clothing, and are not my size anyway. I'm also the owner of the only big pair of boobs in my family, as well as the owner of the biggest feet.
33I don't really share my sister always wants to borrow stuff but I never let her. She ruins everything. She keeps bugging me to borrow one of my Marc Jacobs bags and I finally told her to stop asking because it is never going to happen.
34i share clothes with my best friend, but that's it. we're both good with each other's things, and i've never had a problem with her ruining any of my stuff. we consider it a double closet... whenever i buy a new shirt i call her and say "I bought us a new shirt today!"
35si'm not good at sharing anything, but especially clothes. i just can't bring myself to do it. it helps that i don't have any friends that are my size.
36I'm gonna be honest, I'm totally selfish! I hate sharing clothes! I just can't let my friends (No matter how much I love them) borrow my clothes! I hand picked every outfit and thought long and hard when I bought them! The thought of a hole or rip occuring scares the mess outta me!Sorry but no!
37When I'm done with something, I'll give it to a friend. No sharing for me- I've had too many things ruined and too many things have come up missing. I keep a drawer in my guest bedroom of items that I'm "over." When friends come over they can take a peek in that drawer to see if there is something they want.
38The last time I shared clothes it was when I was in 7th or 8th grade and it was twins day. My mom and I had matching sweaters and so I let my friend borrow mine while I wore my moms. Well mine came back unwashed and smelling like frying oil. That was the last time I let anyone borrow anything
39Oh no wait take that back. I had a friend that was a size or two bigger than me borrow this great tropical dress I had. Luckly she dry cleaned it and I went to wear it a month later and noticed it was stretched out. I had to take it in a couple places.
40I used to, but not anymore. Too many bad experiences.
The only person I'd lend to is my sister, as I know she's always careful and she also lends clothes to me.
41Ooof Seafoamgreen
I hate people who want to borrow your stuff even when its obvious they wont fit.
I don't mind offering to lend someone clothes but I don't like lending my clothes if they ask for it.
The only person I wouldn't mind lending and borrowing clothes from is my sister in law, she is completely responsible and I won't mind if she ruins something because I know its not out of carelessness. Unfortunatly I'm a size 6 and she's a size 0...we can only share when she's pregnant and right now that she still has baby fat and is like a size 2 with bigger boobs.
I once lent a friend my favourite white heels on halloween, lets just say they were patent leather, and they came back muddy, messy, and f*cked up. She didn't even have the decency to wipe them off witha napkin. NEVER AGAIN!
42see, i used to think that not sharing my stuff especially items that others can appreciate is rude of me and a really selfish behaviour. but after i lent a good friend a gorgeous pair of miss sixty heels in black n white check prints, and never got them back, and never got a peep from her since she left for holidays two years ago, i'm over sharing my things. my friends can admire now, but i'm not sharing anything cuz i never know how many more clothes, shoes, etc that i can lose.
especially after living in a boarding house for years where items go missing, it's also a turn off to share my stuff that i've bought or that my mum have bought for me. it just feels like money going down the drain cuz it was lost under someone else's responsibility.
43I would share, but no one's asked. None of my friends are the same size/shape as me, so it would be difficult anyway.
44I don't mind sharing my clothes, shoes, accessories, handbags and other things with my girlfriends and my sister.
Except for the clothes that I've worn for special occasions like meeting my boyfriend. Since I'm in a long distant relationship with my boyfriend, we meet thrice a year so every time I see him I always wear a brand new dress and shoes and accessories. So for these clothes, I don't like sharing it. The clothes have history. HAHAHAH
45I've swapped things with my mom, but that's only because I know I'm guaranteed to get it back. I've borrowed a skirt once from a friend and was so paranoid about tearing it (it was made out of a kind of delicate fabric) or staining it that I couldn't bring myself to borrow again.
46I don't share, way too many bad experiences with my friends, and I'm about 7 inches taller and 2 shoe sizes bigger than my mom and sisters so I couldnt share with them even if I wanted to.
47On a very rare occasion and items have to be dry cleaned, etc. but like I said its rare. I have to admit, I am a bit selfish -especially when it comes to anything designer, limited edition or that has sentimental value (which most of my bags do - HA.)
48I don't share, but I donate when I'm sick of something.
Plus, my best friends are 4'11" and 5'1".
I'm 5'11".
Nope!

49I am not fond of other people using my clothes but sometimes it is hard when a friend is asking if she could borrow a certain dress. So I agree and makes sure that she gives it back.
But I give out clothes when i feel I don't want to wear them anymore or if I rarely wear them. It's better someone using it than just sitting in my closet.
