- Cut the caffeine. It raises your stress hormones levels and intensifies cramps
- We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day for your metabolism and brain, but it's also crucial for keeping your blood sugar from dropping, causing moodiness. Eat a combo of protein and carbohydrates and remember to stay away from excess sugar
- Foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids will help stabilize your hormone peaks so aim for eating foods such as salmon, nuts, or avocado the days leading up to your period
- Magnesium is a mineral that has a calming effect to counteract irritability so stock up on magnesium supplements and eat a lot of whole grains, lentils and leafy green vegetables

I knew about the caffeine and eating Omega 3, but i didnt know about the other stuff thanks! I get the worst cramps and fatigue, i never bloat though for that i am thankful. When i was still living at home my mom used to tell me when she would see me curled up on the couch "move around, walk around, straighten out you will feel better" and i never believed her, but its so true. Once i am out of bed, moving around, i will go for a walk and it makes my cramps less painful.
1Ooof I used to have really bad cramps, I remeber I almost fainted once. It was early morning and I was getting ready for school, and was walking to my room (its a long dark hallway) and everything went dark I actually had to pick up the phone to call my sister in law (in theroom right next to me) to help me out.
2Now I still get really weak, but my cramps aren't as strong. Caterpillar is right though, once you get up and walk it feels a bit better.
r u serious- less sugar? but chocolate is the only thing that cheers me up during my periods
3I have to try this although my pms has already started, :^( oh well, I can eat healthy however my chocolate cravings are tough!
4I suffer terrible PMS! Thanks for all the advices!
