Oh Gods, this video is both embarrassing and awesome at the same time. I was laughing so hard! The best part of this video was learning that "you never have to compromise when you're right. That's for people that are wrong." That will come in handy in my marriage.

It's also good to know I should vote for Palin because "she stands for freedom."
1I like the gentleman who doesn't think there's going to be an election in 2012 because Obama is going to declare martial laws. Or the guy who says there's not enough white votes (due to immigration).
2SKG - thanks for this. I'm posting it on my facebook, haha!
3I know!
It's so funny.
4hahaha love it!
5This wouldn't play for me. has it been taken off of youtube?
People on both sides say idiotic things. These people (who say idiotic things) are a good reason to limit who does and does not vote.
6Hey, thanks for posting it on the main page, Tres!
7Thanks. I watched as much as I could stand.
8they always seek out the stupidest people to interview. granted it makes for funny videos but i feel bad for all the normal people who get lumped in with the crazies!
9Look, let's be honest here. There are well spoken people who are conservatives for intellectual, justifiable reasons. But almost none of them are Palin supporters. She is the lowest common denominator of your party, the Nascar of Republicanism.
I do think it's an accurate portrayal of many of her fans.
10I'd like to know how many people they had to interview to get these examples. It looks like they were there from early morning to well into the night.
11"The state that she did govern was right across the street from Russia. I'm not saying that she's ever had to deal with Russia, BUT I'm sure she's had boundary issues she had to deal with. Like we got boundary issues in Mexico right now."
I think that dude was my favorite.
Hahaha, thanks for the post!
12UnDave - they come out of the woodwork when they see a camera. My hubby never had difficulty finding uneducated backwoods idiots to interview no matter what the subject was (especially nascar, lol).
Some people just are magnets for a certain type of follower. At least you can't claim her followers are elitists
13haha Hilarious!! love it!
14SKG - I think that comment is an accurate portrayal of your bias.
Unless of course you're willing to accept that the lady who said if Obama wins she wouldn't have to pay her mortgage or put gas in her car is an accurate portrayal of his fans.
Then we can call it even!
15Yup, time to upload this gem onto facebook.
16what Haus said.....
17juicydumpling that guy was my fave as well, lol!!
18Haus, are you referring to that comedic bit on youtube? If you are, you missed the boat.
Yes, this is an accurate portrayal of her supporters. When asked about her policies, they couldn't give ONE!! Blind followers are sad, no matter the party. But, the level of idiocy and miseducation is scary. There's no way anyone in their right frame of mind can defend those attributes.
19I think she was referring to the live broadcast on election night at Grant Park in Chicago. A reporter walked up to a woman and asked her what this moment meant to her. She replied that it was great, because now she didn't have to pay her gas bill, car payment, or pay her rent. Somehow everything was going to be free now that Obama was elected.
20I like to call these people "low information voters."
21Dave is correct, as usual!
22It was um um support at first uh comment! erm, I mean sight. I mean avatar, uh poetry - whatever. um um (not qualified to justify my laughter) Thanks.
23This is no more an accurate portrayal of her supporters than this image is of Obamas!
24lets try again

26And since when is youtube and OK source, I thought Stephley banned it since videos can be spliced however you choose to splice em.
27i don't think anybody is calling this a news piece.
28Ugh, this is so sickening. There needs to be a better medium through which policy issues and candidate stances are conveyed in a proper, yet succinct, manner. I'll admit, I didn't know Obama's stance on something versus Palin's, but I did research it and got a lot of confusing answers.
But there are some great and reliable sources of info on the internets, if looking in the right (unbiased, not right politically ... hah) places.
But ye GODS, this was painful. Border issues with Russia? Information about Obama from church groups and Fox News? BLAH.
29Thanks, Dave!
30I have very intelligent, well-informed friends on both sides of the political spectrum--none of whom are Palin supporters. I understand her appeal and I understand that this interview may not personify all of her supporters. But it's the "what if" aspect that realllyyy frightens me.
31Thanks, SKG, that video is priceless!
32I didn't know Steph was the boss?
33duh sarah, haven't you ever heard her rendition of "born in the usa"?
34HA!
35Sarah, I don't think we are allowed to question Steph's authority!
36Oh crap, you're right!
37in communist usa authority questions you
38"duh sarah, haven't you ever heard her rendition of "born in the usa"?"
39We never question our dear leaders authority.
This video was funny and frightening, but mostly frightening.
40Just re-watched parts 1 and 2 of the Katie Couric interview, and damn! That woman choked so hard she needed Heimlich. I would feel bad for the woman, but her self-assuredness has got me thinking otherwise. Oh well ... got my comedy fix for the day
41Obviously if you couldnt get the seething sarcasm in that post, you need help.
42I thought the sarcasm reaped more sarcasm.
43I would not disagree with at least a basic competency test over knowledge of the government system and the candidates/their policies... I would not expect my opinion to count on any matter that I had zero knowledge of, but when it comes to voting, anyone's opinion (no matter the reasoning... or lack of...) counts. It's scary when you think about it.
44A competency test for voting is what i was describing...
45I think if the government decided who could and couldn't vote it would be both un-American and undemocratic. To me, it stinks of the literacy tests the South used to stop blacks from voting.
Because of my degree, I actually know a lot about the psychology of voting, particularly the political psychology of voting. Truthfully, just liking a candidate is as valid a reason to vote for someone as most of us come up with.
It's just simply not true that we sit around, evaluate a candidate's positions on issues, and then decide. We use shortcuts, often emotional, to arrive at our voting choices. The Michigan model shows that either the candidate or their stance on specific issues make us arrive at our voting choice. Palin has a high likability heuristic for these people. That's cool.
But still very funny to watch.
46SKG - I agree with a lot of that comment. I think we all like to think that so much goes in to our vote and everyone elses, but at the end of the day I think you're right. People will vote for plenty of reasons that have nothing to do with the issues.
47Watching this surprisingly makes me think of Alan Keyes. If what SKG says is true about how we pick someone to vote for, he must be my exception. He's smart, has strong moral values, etc., etc....and then you listen to him talk and you think "Gee buddy, where's your personality?"
48It can never be said enough that Alan Keys disowned his gay daughter.
49There are idiots on BOTH sides.
