Move over Kristen Stewart! Barbie is the latest impersonator to pay homage to rock and roll icon Joan Jett.
Regular Barbie — and those anatomically-impossible small feet she jams into high heels — must be jealous that Mattel's new Joan Jett Barbie gets to sport some rad red Converse. If Joan Jett isn't your thing, you can also pick up the Cyndi Lauper doll, the Debbie Harry doll, or the Barbara Streisand doll. They're all part of Mattel's new "Ladies of the '80s" collection, which ensures that grown women may once again unwrap a Barbie this holiday season.
Are you digging these dolls or does the fact that they're Barbies diminish the girl power cred?

3I love these so much, and I'm normally not a fan of Barbie. If I were a mom, I'd be OK with my daughter playing with Joan Jett.
4I think this is great- it shows young girls that not all women look the same and barbie can be pretty with different hair and makeup than she typically has... but jeez that Barbara Streisand doll is like $20 more than the others!

11I'm not a doll person but I should say I'd MUCH rather unwrap one of these then the holiday barbie. That barbie is scary.

13Snow, the reason Tres said, "move over Kristen" is that Kristen does play Joan Jett in an upcoming movie. She's say, "Move over, you're not the only one impersonating Joan Jett, Barbie is now, too!"
Anyway, I think she's OK. I'm a bigger fan of the Debbie Harry Barbie.
