You don't need to be a fan of Twilight to understand the difference between the two leading men (can we call vampires and werewolves men?). On the one hand, there's Edward — think of him as the sophisticated older man type. In fact, he's 108. If you go for introverted, devoted, and beautiful men, Edward's your type of guy. Then we have Jacob, the good-natured hunk. Jacob's the extrovert with a sense of humor who knows how to have fun. Which type of guy would you rather date: the mysterious guy or the outgoing guy?

how about neither??? that needs to be an option!
1I know! All of these Twilight-related polls really alienate the non-Twihard readers of this site.
2Neither. I prefer my men to not be abusive or 17.
3Edward Cullen OMFG
4Is there a neither? Not everyone who reads this site likes twilight, ya know.
5so ignore this post if you hate Twilight...
Edward 100%!
6It's hard to ignore the posts when there are 3 at a time!
7Edward Cullen all the way!
8I agree with CatepillarGirl, both are horrible choices if you are over the age of 16. And if you are under 16 then please don't choose Edward because he is obviously emotionally abusive and controlling which are the making of a toxic relationship.
I still don't understand how anyone can find a character who watches you sleep, destroys your car in the hope of keeping you from friends, and forces their sister to babysit you is the kind of boyfriend you would ever want. Maybe I value my independence too much.
9Edward. And I think this poll is just meant to be fun and not over-analyzed.
I just ignore anything I don't care about, like anything about Speidi.
10Neither.
And the whole point of this site is to discuss things. some people like to discuss what they don't like about a topic just as much as what they do like about a topic.
I'm not a Twilight fan either, never read the books, haven't seen the movies, have no plans on doing so. However, I have to say that if this Edward character is what I've heard many people saying he is, then I don't understand why these books have become so popular especially among the teen crowd. It concerns me that this is the type of man our young women are attracted to. But like I said, I haven't read the books so I could be way off base.
11but glam if you did want to say something about speidi, I would call you an Fing hater for it.
12I was thinking neither right when I saw the poll - I think its only fair to have it as an option! And regardless of how old either character is in real life or is supposed to be I dont find either one of them attractive. Robert Pattinson has a really weird looking face and the other kid just looks like a baby.
13Edward, I'm a sucker for romantic.
14It is hard to ignore Twilight when every sugar site has multiple posts and quizzes and pictures about it. Anyway, I have not read the books or seen either movie, but if what soulight said is true, then I definitely find it disturbing that young teenage girls are swooning over this kind of man. Creepy.
15I agree with kimmieb, it IS hard to ignore when about half the posts on the Sugar sites are Twilight related.
I enjoy participating here, and I ignore the sites I'm not interested in (Lilsugar, for example). to participate in the rest. But the sites that I am interested in are on Twilight overload. I just wish that there was more for the rest of us to participate in.
But I also understand. Sugar is a business, after all, and Twilight is a cash cow.
16Neither are my type so I didn't vote.
17The question is, what TYPE of guy you would rather date, mysterious and intense, or outgoing and fun-loving. Not specifically Edward or Jacob. So I don't feel it's too alienating to non-twilight fans.
18Eric Northman!! He doesn't sparkle.
19Right on, HoneyBrown! I vote Eric Northman too!!
20In real life I would go for Jacob, which is funny since I'm team Edward.
21Read the books, don't understand the hype, but I said Jacob. A person like Edward is too old-fashioned and serious for me. I like my guys to be fun and outgoing.
22Jacob is too immature and Edward is too controlling... I choose Emmet!
23Edward Cullen, the character, is serious and old fashion because he is from 100 years ago don't forget..he has quite a few redeeming qualities as well, like manners and respect. She's the one that wants to jump his bones all the time and he resists. He aint that bad.
24Edward, of course.
25Soulight, I couldn't have said it any better.
But, if I were ten years younger, I'd probably date a buy like Jacob.
26I go for Edward types mostly because I like the challenge....so it's not like I really let them control me.
27Neither. I find both highly offensive (especially Edward), and the entire series offends me as a woman and as a fan of vampires, mythology and good literature.
All in all, I can't stand Twilight.
So I'm choosing Cedric Diggory. He is the hawtness and is a Hufflepuff like me. And he was hotter in my imagination than he was when Robert Pattinson played him (though, I think clean cut Rob looks a lot better than scruffy slob Rob).
28Staple, I love you. I would totally vote for Cedric! (And yes, he was hotter in my head then Robert Pattinson is).
I can not STAND Twilight - and yes, I did read the entire first book. I made myself finish it and it was utterly terrible. Not only is it poorly written (how many times can she cram the word chagrin in there?!) but also the relationship between Edward and Bella is not something I would EVER want to portray as appropriate or desirable to a young girl. He's blatantly abusive, extremely controlling, and a pedophile.
But oh wait! They didn't have sex until they got married, so that cancels out all that other stuff. omggZzz he luvsss herr!!1.
29Absolutely neither. I do enjoy the books for a not-so-serious read, but those characters (Jacob, Edward and Bella) are all appalling. I think their personalities suck. Bella is a co-dependent, self-sacrificing twit, that teenage girls can relate to for other reasons. Edward and Jacob are both extremely unhealthy, especially Edward who presents himself as the God among men. Jacob is the desperate, clingy guy. Both are abusive, definitely in the emotional sense. No one in their right mind would want a relationship like that. The women who do need to get a clue, and it really says something about your personality if you are constantly looking for an "Edward" or "Jacob". I like non-abusive, stable, adult, normal ass, non-douchebag. I'll take my boyfriend any day.
30I never understood the attraction to Robert Pattison and I don't have a so called type either. I'm all over the map when it comes to attraction. I think it's his bed head on steroids that really gets me. I voted Jacob because I like fun happy dudes.
31Marry: Edward
32Do: Jacob!!!!!This guy's physically perfect!
I'd prefer the quiet introverted guy that did actually have a personality, you just need to get to know him to see it.
33Omg...I'm dumb. I didn't even realize until just now from reading these posts that Cedric=Edward. Hahahha, wow. I totally vote for Cedric also.
He's WAY sexier as Cedric.
But to actually answer the question. I tend to go for the mysterious guy, but I shouldn't b/c the outgoing fun guy is the type I actually get along with.
34One's dead. One's alive. Living people are my type! LOL
35I hate Edward, him and Bella have the weirdest conversations "you're my only reason to live" you are so beautiful"-CONSTANTLY! AH! it's such a stupid unhealthy relationship. I agree with #30...but I definitely am a Jacob fan...he is clingy and desperate but he's positive and has more of a personality.

37Lemme see? Controlling and patronizing undead teenager, or controlling and patronizing werewolf teenager? Neither. Thanks though.
38Aah new moon is so intense and Jacob is totally my type. omg i think I'm gonna die if i don't get the movie. : (
39i love edward in the books... but in the movies.. not so much... jacob is the best in the movies!!! soooooo hot!!!!!
40Edward is so romantic...can't get past Jacob's baby face or the anger issues! But how about Emmett's dimples and sense of humor
But maybe Sugar should consider adding a Twilight page.
