A stone carving of President Obama is on sale in Shanghai, China, along with carvings of celebrities like Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and Katie Holmes. Obama will be meeting with both ordinary citizens and Chinese leaders in Shanghai and Beijing starting today. As you can tell from these photos, creative vendors in China are ready to capitalize on Obama's visit. You just got to love capitalism communism!

Maybe he should get some things done here, instead of gallivanting around the world asa celebrity. I think a lot of liberals like me are ready to see him actually do some of the things he set out to do, rather than just talk about it. If he doesn't get his act together, and accomplish some things by next year - I think he will have a failed presidency.
1I live in China. Everyone I talked to today about Obama had one of two things to say: either he should deal with his own country rather than telling China how to run theirs, or they wanted to talk about his half-brother who lives in Shenzhen.
The bristling at President Obama's criticism of internet freedom is predictable (it's one of those "I can criticize my own country, but don't you dare try it" kind of things), but at least part of it has to be that everyone here in China who wants to get onto blocked websites does. Period.
Oh, and Nanjing is blaming him for the freak snowstorm today. Nanjing never gets snow this time of year, but Obama comes to talk about preventing global warming, and then it snows all day.
2This is no suprise. A lot of ousiders feel this way about him.
3Spacekatgirl,
4Can you list, what Obama's failures are thus far?
