I'm sure many of us are expecting to see some serious skin tomorrow night for Halloween. The holiday has turned into an excuse to sexify even the most innocent costumes (sexy Harry Potter is just not OK).
I have to admit that the Wonder Woman costume I borrowed is a little short, but I plan on wearing thick leggings underneath. Do you dress sexier than usual on Halloween, or do you channel your costume creativity in a more reserved way?

Miss Sixty
the french maid costume needs to be retired for about 20 years.....as well as most of the "sexy" costumes. they are just not very inspired looking. Halloween is about creating a costume, not buying glorified lingerie.
1THANK YOU, CaterpillarGirl! I couldn't agree more. I am so disgusted by the fact that Halloween has become All Hoe Bags Eve. For the love of pete, be creative!
2I have decided to be a doll for halloween, a cute doll, not a sexy one... mostly because I have a jumper that is perfect for it and I can be comfortable all night. The trouble is, I am having the hardest time finding hair that is not a long black wig! I've even tried making my own with yarn, but it turns out I'm more skilled actually knitting than I am crafting. Haha.
3I have been making my costumes for the past 3 years, so they tend to be more accurate to the original, rather than sexy. However, 2 years ago I bought the above-mentioned "Harriet Potter" costume, which would be dubbed as "sexy/slutty" and has already been snubbed on this site. I had SO much fun! I don't really see a problem with it. If you're comfortable wearing something like that, do it. If you want to be authentic, do that. If you want to be comedic, do that. Its all about how you want to feel and be noticed on Halloween. Don't hate on people just because they buy into the sexy trends. Its Halloween, a time to kick back and not care what people think. So who is to judge?
I chose "No" because my friends and I are doing mario kart and I am yoshi and not going to be looking sexy, but I didn't choose that because I care that its over done. I'll have more appreciation for the clever costumes, but I don't hate on the store-bought "sexy" costumes either.
4I chose 'no', because I can't pull off a costume like that, I'm not exactly an attractive looking person. Having said that, I do think those costumes do get out of hand sometimes, it can end up looking like the girl forgot to put on clothes.
5Guess I'll be the first to admit it - Halloween is a night I like to look sexy! There's a distinction between 'sexy' and 'slutty', though, and it certainly seems like everyone else is using one as a euphemism for the other here. It's possible to look sexy and attractive without looking like a hoe bag for the occasion.
I'm being a devil for Halloween. I have a sexy red dress, some inexpensive devil accessories, and my favorite part of the costume is the pair of sequined red heels (I was Dorothy a few years back, so I may as well get more use out of them!). I don't think I look trampy at all, but sexy? Definitely! And after I go out for a few hours with friends, the boyfriend and I can come home and enjoy my sexy costume. ;]
6There is a fine line between being sexy and skanky. I try not to cross over... I say if you got it, work it
7A lot of people cross the line into skanky. I have always dressed up as something fun/funny/clever/scary, never something sexy/slutty/skanky. To me, Halloween is about fun and scares, not about how many men you can get to ogle your body.
8Mandawahoo - I wore the same thing! As I said on the other post, there is NOTHING sexy about wearing Harry Potter glasses and carrying a wand. It's supposed to be funny, not sexy. I mean, seriously, you're wearing a freaking cape - how dorky is that? Alas, not everyone has a sense of humor.
CaterpillarGirl - I agree. Who even buys the French maid costumes these days?
9I think it's funny how upset some people get if a girl chooses to wear a sexy costume. Who are you to dictate what someone else wears as a costume. Too funny!
10I like to look sexy and mysterious on Halloween, but I picked "no" because if that picture's the "sexy" and not "skanky" outfit, I guess that makes me a prude.
11The sexy costumes are so overdone. I would much prefer dressing up as something scary, or something vintage like a Victorian or Renaissance costume. I'm not dressing up at all, however. I'm not going trick or treating, and I'm not going to any parties. I'm just going to chill in my room and watch horror movies all day and night.
12I'm not dressing up this year but usually I dress up as something scary or funny. Once i dressed up in one of those poodle skirts but it wasn't the sexed up version of it.
13I'm dressing up as a nurse, which I guess can be sexy, but I put it together myself and made it nice and bloody.
14I usually pull a Cady from Mean Girls on Halloween. This year I'm trying to be cute and creepy.
15Hell yes this year that is. My mom made me the most gorgeous sexy devil costume. First time homemade.
16I said no because I'm not dressing up. But I'd like to, but I'm going trick or treating with kids so I'll leave that to them. Personally I think the "sexy" costumes are overdone. But I think only because most border on the line of sleazy. There isn't anything wrong with being sexy for Halloween, but I don't' think that has to mean being more than half naked. Besides where I live I would freeze if I wore those costumes out.
17I picked yes because dressing up is dressing up no matter what. It's fun and it's the one time a year i can get away with it, so it really is a costume for me - because im pretty covered every other time!
18Nothing wrong with a sexy costume. Although, I don't were them myself. I feel to revealed, like I am on show. Cant hang.
19um... WEAR not "were"
not that it matters much.
20I like dressing sexy on Halloween... scratch that, I like dressing SLUTTY! It's the only time of year I can get away with it without looking like a hooker (actually, I live in Miami so that's not really true). I'm going as a sexy cop this year and last year I did the french maid thing. I'd actually stick out like a sore thumb in my city if I didn't dress like that. In fact, usually i look pretty tame in comparison.
21I can't answer this.
I'm yes and no.
Yes, my costume is "sexy" but it's because I'm a tranny/Dr. Scott in a Rocky Horror Picture Show cast.
22Yes, but I dress like that all the time so it isn't out of the ordinary. Why wait till Halloween to wear what you really want to wear?
23i pikced yes too, but i made mine and im going for the sexy/creepy aspect. I'm going to be Medusa this year, all black and gold, with gold snakes in my hair, cute oufit, then creepy white cat eye contacts and dark lips and a good combo of both. I dont see why so many people have such strong feeling about halloween costumes. Its just for fun people! Do what you want.
24Gonna be Lady Gaga, it is unavoidable.
25I picked "no" - I think my costume is pretty hot, but not in the sexy/slutty way you're talking about here.
I'm being a pirate.
I've got this awesome outfit with a skirt that hits kinda above
my knees (I say kinda because it's like that uneven cut on the bottom) and has like lacey sleeves that are off the shoulder. SO cute.
26no...i'm going to be a stepford wife. dress to the knee, apron, pearls...not very sexy haha
27Ugh, no, the skanky costumes are so lame. I live in Wyoming and it's pretty hilarious to see a bunch of dumb girls freezing their asses off in the snow and 10 degree temps. I like to do something imaginative and funny -- this year my boyfriend is going as a bearded clam and I'm a one-eyed trouser snake. ; )
28i love to dress up i miss it my kids have all te fun now
