Hey! Just remembering the Bush years is motivating me to go get blitzed at Epic. Get Motivated!
1He is just adorable, I wish he would come my way.
2I agree CaterpillarGirl. I may not agree with all of his politics, but I'd love to see him in person and hear what he has to say. Just as I would Obama even though I don't agree with all of his politics either.
3Oh, God. Just excuse me while I cough up buckets of blood here in the corner, CG. He is married!
4Space, I wish he would come my way ....SO I COULD HEAR HIM SPEAK.....get your mind out of the gutter!
5Yeah, I know. Totally teasing you.
6.....but if he did come to speak, I would have to check out his behind...married or not.
7I'd probably do the same to Obama, truth be told.
I do have to question your choices in men, though. Politics aside, the nicest thing I could say about Bush's personality is he seems to be a very genuine father. Don't you get the sense that he's kind of... honestly stupid? I do, and stupid men are not attractive.
8pffft. I would do the same with obama, just cause i dont agree with his policies, doesnt mean i dont think he isnt good lookin!
My BIL knows him personally, flew Marine One. Says he is the funniest guy, super smart (even with all the Bushisms) and really relatable, easy to get along with.
9Democrats and Republicans come together! Call for bipartisan Obama butt ogling!
I have no doubt Bush is quite personable. It's a skill any politician, much less a President, develops.
I don't mean this as a slight against him at all, but like Bush I also used to drink a lot. And, like Bush, one of the ways I got sober was developing a passion for running. I would like to see him as a motivational speaker about that. I think he'd be very credible, as his dedication to fitness is very impressive.
10I met GW Bush twice when I was in college, and he is a tall, handsome, very charming man with a great smile.... I might not see him speak but I'll back up CG's checking out his you know what
11and SKG, I was always very impressed when the presidential health records were released, you know like the yearly checkup .... he was/is in great health and that really is something to be admired, especially since the Obama's are making such a push for healthy living/eating etc. (oh except for the occasional cigarette lol)
12I agree on the healthy living by GW....But i have to admit I would sit down at a Mcdonalds with Bill Clinton and eat a big mac with him anyday!
13Oh seeing that picture makes me truly miss George W. Bush! I loved his Bushisms and it made him human. Often times I flutter my words and it just made him seem like one of us. He always seems so genuine, caring and funny. I would totally check him out... totally!
14CG, didn't you say you used to have an ED? I'm amazed with some of the stuff you say you eat on Sugar. Baconaise? McDonalds? Wow. I think it's safe to say you've recovered.
I wouldn't have a burger with Bill, because I am afraid Hilary would go Saw VI on me. That woman is beyond scary.
Mamacita, Obama just doesn't need to talk to me about health if he's sneaking an occasional cigarette. It's irresponsible and hypocritical.
15SpaceKat, I did have an ED, I deal with it everyday actually.
I dont eat mcdonalds every day, in fact i only eat it probably twice a year, Baconaise? in moderation!
I had a EDNOS for 12 years. still deal with it everyday, that "urge" but I am stronger from my struggles thats for sure.
16That's cool. I can totally relate, because it's how I feel about growing up gay. It made me a lot stronger a person.
17haha skg just pointing out his hypocrisy in that regard. glad you caught it
18I have no idea what baconaise is, but it sounds pretty tempting.
Congrats to all the
bipartisan butt ogling!
19Tony Snow once said that Bush 41 and 43 used to drive speechwriters crazy. They would eschew the flowery language in favor of another...Texan. Although, I would cringe when he would say nuclear wrong.
20Very interesting thread...hmmm... I wouldn't mind having a beer and burger with any of the Presidents. And here I just came to comment the Church of Scientology being convicted of fraud in France. From what I have observed, the followers seem to have a great sense of will-power and charity. I'm not sure if I buy into everything else...
21I miss tony snow.
22CG I miss him too. May Tony Snow Rest in Peace. I like that Ari Fleischer is getting back into the scene again.
23He's going to command top dollar, that's a given. Former heads-of-state are always the most sought after celebrtity speakers in the industry. And love him or hate him, he does qualify as a motivational speaker, having turned his life around from alcohol and drug abuse to become the leader of the free world.
