Before it feels right to leave things at your new boyfriend's house, you're stuck sleeping in his clothes and using his toiletries, but what do you do when you want to brush your teeth? Some people are really finicky about sharing their toothbrush when others, like me, don't really mind it. While I know it's not the most sanitary thing to do, ladies tell me, do you ever use your boyfriend's toothbrush?

I must admit I have done it before, but of course only as a last resort. I don't think it's terribly bad. If I'll kiss the guy, why not share a tooth brush! But I made sure to bring my own next time.
As long as it was ok with him. I wouldn't have used it if he had a problem with it.
I'm sorry I would never. I am not a germ freak but using another persons toothbrush whether it be my boyfriend or not is gross. I would much rather use my finger and rise with mouth wash.
i totally have used my best friend's toothbrush before....but the thought of using my boyfriends' makes me cringe!
I carry my own with me all the time! You never know when you need to brush!
As long as he doesn't mind, I don't mind. If I'm swapping spit with him and getting his germs anyway, whats the difference.
**embarassed** i do this all the time! it doesn't bother him (or me!)
why not just keep a travel toothbrush in your purse?
yeeah ive shared with my bf as well as my best girlfriend
sorry, just can't do it! it's taboo to me for some reason...
Seriously? we open mouth kiss, have sex...what's the big deal with sharing a tooth brush? he takes care of his mouth, so it isn't a big deal
the first time i spent the night, my boyfriend presented me with my very own toothbrush the next morning! : )
No. I can't explain why, it's just something I can't do.
Never understood what the big deal was with this... if this is the person you're kissing, having sex with, sharing food with... why does it matter? Humans are just as filthy as the rats and cockroaches anyway.
I agree with 'I am Elle'..if you have kissed a guy and your are intimate then I do not see why you should feel icky sharing a toothbrush with him!
that's disgusting. ahhaha i just use my finger and ALOT of toothpaste
i don't really like the idea of sharing my toothbrush. i know its really not that big of a deal, because we're always swapping spit, but there's just something about a toothbrush i want to keep to myself.
I just didn't brush at first, or I used toothpaste on my finger.. I left my own toothbrush there later and used his toothpaste.
He also got me to leave a set of pj's (a t-shirt and sweatpants) as his place.. which he would wash for me whenever he did his laundry..
haha we actually do share them a lot.. we went camping for several days one time and of course he forgot his toothbrush.. when he naturally stole mine in front of the group they had HORRIFIED looks on their faces! LOL and he was like "..what??" i too find myself slightly disgusted at times because we've really become wayyyy too comfortable but not because of germs or anything. i mean we do everything else right?
We have sex, & we have oral sex...and lick each others tongues! We are terribly interested in doing all things germ/spit/sweat swapping so why not share a tooth brush. Bath towel (only when he didn't have two clean) & deodorant (I forgot mine, then he had to use mine haha).
I don't like to share though, so I have a cabinet in his bathroom with hygenic needs, #1 being a toothbrush!
I always have a trial size of mouthwash with me
I always have a trial size of mouthwash with me
My boyfriend has a nice electric toothbrush so right before he is about to change the head I'll tend to use it..
I did this a couple of times when my husband and I were still dating.
Listerine works wonders in a pinch.
I can't believe how close this poll is! Sharing my toothbrush is not an option!!! NO WAY!!!
i'm all for the finger technique. something about my own toothbrush. i dunno.
I haved used his maybe twice in our many-year relationship. But now we keep extras at our apartments.
its all depends for me.. i don't think its the end of the world.. actually one time when my boyfriend went away he accidentally took my tooth brush instead of his!! haha.. so he was stuck with mine for a week! but its not something we do lol we have our own... but if worse comes to worse.. i will use his
Meh I do it now and again.
When we went to Banff one weekend I forgot mine and just udsed his, but it's not a regular occurance seeing as we live together!
I mean i do dirtier things with him...
come on! there is nothing wrong with using his toothbrush! You probably have done worse with him.
only if i really really have to
my hun eats a lot of beef jerky and has disgusting breath 24/7. I would have to be desperate to use his toothbrush (but then at least **someone** would be using it. HAHA)
It is true that it's no different than kissing but still... EWW!
Haha Its so funny,,, I'll go down on him and he'll go down on me.... we kiss each other passionately....we share food and drinks... but the thought of using his toothbrush grosses me the hell out.......
i put down yes, even though i haven't come across the need to. i would use it if i needed to. i mean, i kiss the boy--what's the big deal about his toothbrush?
I agree with theperfectscore. That's exactly how I feel!
Ugh, kissing and sharing a toothbrush are not the same!
No, no, no!
he comes visit once a month-- and sometimes he forgets his toothbrush and i don't mind sharing =0) same thing when i go... if i forget, i don't feel the need to buy a new one... but sometimes i will. lol
ewww no I just cant do it
I'm not a germaphobe, but I would NEVER EVER use my husband's toothbrush. In a worst case scenario situation I would use my finger along with a lot of mouthwash until I can make it to a pharmacy or supermarket to get a replacement toothbrush. Yeah I swap spit with him, but I prefer to keep our dental plaque separated at all costs.
I think it is ridiculous to not share his toothbrush. When I think about swapping spit and all the other dirty things we do together I don't see how putting his toothbrush in my mouth is really that disgusting...
unless his toothbrush was all tore up and old.
Ok, then why not share used Q-tips??? Or what about used toilet paper?
I used to use his toothbrush a few times if I didn't have mine because it was at my house, now I just carry one with me in my purse because yea, I don't have a problem using his, I would just rather have my own.
