If it was a hoax, people need to go to jail over this. DIA was shut down over this, and police were diverted from their work. All of this for a reality show? Horrible!
1Poor kid, he was on the today show today and he ended up puking. I am glad they are now investigating this family.
2I was watching the Today show this morning with them, and I was appalled at what this mom and dad are forcing their children to do on national TV for the sake of what? air time? 15 more minutes of fame? pity? Parents who use their children like this need to be prosecuted.

4I feel terrible for this child above and beyond anything else.. He is 6 years old. A very sad day if he was forced into doing this by his parents.
5Even if it wasn't a hoax, they should be investigated. It doesn't sound right to me that a kid could disappear for that amount of time and simply be hiding in a box in the attic. How would the parents have not found him up there...and why weren't they watching him a little closer?
6now there is a video of when the ballon took off with all the family in the backyard and it shows the father freaking out. i think eventually it will come out that this was for show and publicity.....

10This family is getting way too much attention....Lets focus on the 10 year old boy in Florida who got set on fire by other 10-15 year old kids, and those kids might not even get in trouble for what they've done to him...Sad
