It wasn't that silly of a question. A simple response would have been " The American education system doesn't place much emphasis on geography. Hence Americans may not recognize their own continent on a map". Her garbled response was so embarrassing.

This is why I teach my daughter that beauty is nice to have, but intellect is so much more important.

I'm much more shocked by the question than the answer...I actually re-watched it just to make sure I heard right--1/5 of Americans can't find the AMERICA on a map??! Their own f***ing country?? Is there any hope for us???
