My boyfriend and I are both students and I make more money than he does. I don't mind paying for dinner more often than he does. But my friends and I always keep track in a general kinda way
of who's been picking up the tap and it evens out. We've been doing that for years and it works for us.
My friends/ boyfriend and I take turns paying. If not, we'll at least split the cost (on a date, one gets the movie tickets, the other gets the snacks type thing).
My friends and me always share. One tiem I pay, next time she'll pay.

I think taking turns is a fair thing. I think it's rude to alway make someone else pay for your lunch or other things. Be nice sometimes, some one may return the favor just when you need them
too.
