Whether you get your period every month, or every few months, we can all agree - it's no fun.
We often feel tired, bloated, moody and depressed. Our boobs get sore and most of us experience the oh-so-wonderful cramps too.
I'm sure you've heard that having sex can actually be beneficial during your "time of the month." Sex is a great stress-reliever, so it can improve your mood and if you're lucky enough to reach orgasm, the muscular contractions you are experiencing in your uterus can also relieve cramps.
With all that said, I want to know...

5it's just kinda icky...typically my bf and i have done it very early or towards the end when it's very light. otherwise, we don't like to do it and honestly, it's hard to feel sexy when you're bleeding down there!

but seriously...my boyfriend and i have never even talked about it. I say, i will start my period on sunday (this would be on a weekend i am visiting) and so we have mindblowing sex as much as possible until i do hahahahahahaha.

kendalheart, I definatly have a HUGE libido when I am on my period. And so does my boyfriend...he drives me crazy!
But, I do the same as cravinsugar and try and have a sexy weekend before it starts.
But I shoudln't be complaining because I only get my period 4 times a year!

21I've never had sex, but I've always wondered the same thing. I don't think I would ever do it, it just seems kinda gross, plus being moody doesn't help either.
22Yeah, my libido goes kinda nutso some months. I actually have no problem going there on my period. I tend to date guys that are like me, though, and get over the ick factor for the greater good, lol. Hopefully this isn't too graphic, but I did date one guy that was interested in earning his "red wings" and I almost ran screaming, I was pretty skeeved by that idea. That's taking it a bit far, but in general I'm totally comfortable with it. And it does help with cramps...takes my mind totally off them, if not actually lessening them.
23I'm way more sensitive during that time of the month, so why not? Lay a towel down and get 'er done! If you're comfortable with your partner (which you should be!) then there shouldn't be an issue.

31I dont mind doing it towards the end of my period. It definitly helps with the cramps and feels amazing lol. The downside is it can be messy. I wouldnt do it if it was with a new guy that I didnt feel completly comfy with yet.

34my libido is always up at that time but, my man refuses me!! it's weirds him out to see blood on his man bits but i just think he's been brainwashed by puritanical ideology that says womens cycles are gross and women should be ashamed of them and hide them at all costs. frankly i find the whole subject infuriating!!

Menstruation is a normal bodily function, kids. If you're in the mood during your period, go for it. -And if your guy is so severely grossed out at the thought of menstrual blood, you should think about finding another guy.
