1Personally, no. Megan's tweet is lost on me, as I've had different experiences with men.
Was Megan drinking?? This comes across as a drunk tweet to me.
2It's been my experience that age plays more of a factor than political party. And I've never seen any of her interviews, but maybe she needs to learn a little finesse (not the sexual or girly kind; I mean learn how to deal with different types of people better).
3Mamasita, I totally agree. Her comment is totally true. Strong women are held to a double standard, and Republican women even more so.
Though, I have to say - the base of her party seems to have no problem with Ann Coulter or Laura Ingrahm. I think it's because she's a moderate Republican that represents a threat to their patriarchal power base.
4also agreed skg -- she's flexible. she believes what she believes, but she's also open minded to hearing 'the other side' and also accepts that people disagree and should. I consider myself open minded but conservative and hope that more people are able to come to the middle. I really don't think the majority of the country is radical on one end of the spectrum or another. just like on FitSugar, everything in moderation

7So true. Not to change the subject too much, but it's along the same line: I have to laugh at the stupidity of these dumbass Teabagger/Anti-Health-Care-Reform-Leave-Government-Out-Of-My-Body freaks. Aren't these the same people who want Gov't IN MY BODY by demanding that abortion be outlawed?! It pertains as it's related to women's rights and empowerment to control their own lives and bodies. Funny how the egg is so sacred, but sperm is so disposable,and dare I say, squirted around with such reckless abandon.
8Are you sure you interpreted her Tweet correctly? "When the GOP is involved" could mean that her Republican affiliation combined with her other attributes makes her more threatening to men, not that the men feeling threatened are necessarily affiliated with the GOP.
