One night stands have always had such a negative stigma attached to them, but let's be honest, they happen! As long as you are safe and protect yourself against STIs and pregnancy, I personally don't think anyone has the right to judge what you do behind closed doors. So ladies, since this is anonymous and all, tell me, how many one night stands have you had?

Not everyone has a one night stand because they're careless or drunk. We're all entitled to take our own approach to our sexuality, and were also entitled to talk about it here, if we want to.
10Aww, "one night stands" have become a commonality in society today. We see it everywhere. I have had my share of one night stands, and have remembered them with no regrets. I have done the walk of shame only once, I always got a ride home (ha ha). However, now I am extremely in love and spend all of my nights with him. We share our stories with each other, and understand that our past is simply that. It was all fun.

16Sad to say I did it once. It was the first time I met the guy and we just sparked. He was a sexy surfer from Orange County and he charmed me. I don't really regret it because it was pretty good, but NOTHING went after that...things just fizzled out.....now that I think about it....I guess it wasn't worth it.

24totally regrettable. I was brought up in a very strict Christian household and once I "sinned," I figured I was a wh*re anyway and abused myself with it. I don't recommend them.

29I've had only one. It's a good story though. We didn't exchange phone numbers or anything, but he tracked me down online a week later using Facebook (we were both in college) and then asked me out. And he's now my boyfriend of about 10 months.

OK, sorry is this is a dumb question, but can someone define "one night stand"? I always thought I'd had one, because once in college I slept with a friend who was visiting us from another school--just that one time. But here a lot of people are saying, "I could never have sex with someone I don't know"--so does it have to be a stranger?
Just curious, so I'll know how to answer the next time someone asks me if I've ever had one.

32I've never had a one night stand. I did a fair share of making out with strangers back in the day, and I can't say that I've been in a committed relationship with everyone I've slept with, but I knew all of them well and have never just picked a guy up in a bar or whatever.

34Two, and they weren't that memorable. I've always felt slightly dirty about them. One night stands have such a stigma attached to them - it's perfectly acceptable for men, but women are looked at like wh*res for engaging in casual sex. So unfair. I would have loved to experiment more if I could have shaken the vaguely guilty feeling.

38I experimented a lot when I was in college. I always used protection and got my check-ups every few months. I liked my one nighters, no commitments, no hassles, just fun. And I thought it was funny when the guy wanted my # and I said no.
39i'm a never. i can't just strip in front of someone i know. and i'm afraid of getting hurt. it just doesn't work for me.
40sex is supposed to be a connection just between you and the person you love, in my view. i wouldnt sleep with just anyone. i aint cheap. one night stand is not my type of things. way too slutty
