The Top 15 Movies With "Cougar" Characters
I loathe the word
cougar — used, for the most part, to try to humiliate women who date younger men (their "prey," known as cubs). But for better or worse, it's in the lexicon, which means that the idea that older women can still be sexy — and sexual — is out there, too. The following group of films shows that the cougar's been around in popular culture for a while, that cougar/cub desire is a two-way street, and that these couplings can be good, bad, or downright scary.

Diane Lane's character in "Unfaithful" was cougar-ish.
1The Rainer Werner Herzog film, "Ali Fear Eats the Soul" has a massive May/December romance at it's centre. It's about a woman who falls in love with a young immigrant boy and how her family and friends react to the cultural stigmas (granted, the plot focuses more on the German racism toward Middle Eastern and Turks more than old woman and younger guy romance). Good, but really sad movie though.
2Poptart! I LOVE the movie 'Unfaithful'... Richard Gere, I think, did some of his best acting in that movie - not to mention Diane Lane.
3**** I can't believe Tres'Sugar missed THE cougar movie of all time - "Summer of 42". This is a must-see movie - aside from the cougarness - the story is incredible, the acting exquisite. If you haven't seen it, it is a must see.
4Good suggestions, you guys! Staple: I LOVE Ali Fear Eats the Soul! And I think "Faithful" and "Summer of 42" and "Ali" may just have to be in the next Cougar films slide show!
5Missing one of the best cougar movies "A Tiger's Tale" great cougar centric plot and sexy as hell older lady Ann Margaret.
6Thanks TresSugar! I love your slideshows.... And, have you seen "Summer of 42"? If you haven't - really - rent it some night. I bet you'll love it...
