It's definetly a combination between a few close friends from high school, college, and work! I love it!

Mine is a combination but the friend I consider my best friend has been my friend since we were 8. We even share the same birthday. We are 13 hours apart. She and I always talk about how we couldn't be sisters because God wouldn't wish that on our mothers.

I'v known her for 11 years, we've been friends for 9 years and best friends for 6 years. It was a gradual closeness.

My best friend is my hubby and we've known each other for 11/12 years. Other than that, our closest couple friends we've known for four years and one year (less really, they recently moved here from down south).

I don't have any girlfriends other than "the girls" at work. Don't feel too bad for me, though, I like it that way.

i have 1 bff i have known since age 10, another i met 7 years ago. with both of them it was instant bff. we laugh at the same things (no matter how dumb everyone else thinks they are) and can instantly crack each other up with one comment. other friends i've made through the years really aren't the same. there's just a level of understanding/connection that is either there or it isn't. there are other friends that i've known for a long time and like and have fun with but it's just different.

My BFF and I have been friends since we turned 3. We went to Nursery school together.

I've recently been burned by two people who I called my best friends, so I'm a little jaded about the subject. My best friend now is my fiance`.

I still keep in contact with some high school buddies, but my college friends mean the world to me.

I am lucky enough to have close friends from all different times in my life - ranging from as far back as I can remember to friends I have met within the past few years.

My best friend... well let’s say I have had my little hands full of b*tchy acquaintances and social climbers. My best friend and I are on a temp. break so too say. I don’t know if you could consider us best friends because why the hell would you go on a split with your BFF? Well, to say the least we are the typical “toxic twins” when we are together... We create a remarkable chaos whenever we arrive at a social outing; truly one of a kind. We get each other, we are simply delightful when we are together and create an extraordinary social essence for any stranger to witness. We have been best friends since grade school and have been threw the ringer of unfortunate events. But delight is at a standstill whenever we talk, however it has been about two months, and her birthday is in a couple of weeks, Do I call to wish her a very happy twentieth … hmmmm what to do girlies?!

I would say my best & closest friends are from when we very little, high school ,college and my family.

Otherwise, I'm friends with a few people from high school, one from elementary school, but mostly people we live near or that my husband works with.

I have such a huge range that I couldn't say "most." It goes from my oldest friend I met when we were two, to my newest friends I met within the last year, and everything in between.

Aas for me I honestly haven't had a "BFF" for a while now. I grew up with the same group of people from kindergarten through 1st year of high school (or 7th grade) and since I moved here to the US we've drifted. As much as I love my new friends now it's not the same. People come and go all the time (literally and figuratively) so I've learned not to attach myself to too many people so I'm always prepared. It's kind of sad.

But with that said, my boyfriend's my best friend, really. We chill and fool around and generally do stupid stuff together and it's nice.

I had to vote other because I moved around a lot and do not live near or keep in contact with any friends from earlier than 8 years ago. My friends now consist of my husbands friends and girlfriends/ wives. Some of them I have known for 8 years but we do not get together much besides our children's birthdays. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to have a BFF from childhood.

I'm the same with my bestfriend, we've known eachother since we were four. I love her to death.

Oh and Rockerchic KadBunny is completely right, me and my bestfriend were in a fight for 5 months recently and hadnt talked till she called me and asked why i had never tried to make things better and we talked and realized it was alot to do with misreading the situation and are right back to being good again. Like she told me, it's worth a shot if your on a break it can only get better.

well with my best friend .... Her older bro and my older bro were friends since they were in 1st grade...... We are 5 years younger than they are..... and for the longest time our parents tried to force us to be friends with each other... but we were polar opposites (she was quite and reserved and I was loud and outgoing).... then we had the same 3rd grade class together and became close... then we drifted apart until like 8th grade.... then from 8th grade and beyond.... BEST FRIENDS!!! now our older bros don't even talk haha....

One of my best friends I met on Popsugar, too! The girls I hang out with the most, I've only known for about a year. But, I am in touch with (and still feel close with) friends that I've known since I was in first grade!

i met my best friends in grad school. i have honestly never had people whom i can be both grown up and childish with. they are amazing - i love them!

I live with my best friend actually, and we've known each other since birth. We grew up right next door to each other, and she's basically like family to me and vice versa.

I've known my best friend my whole life, oddly enough our fathers have been best friends since they were five.

I've known my best friend since I was 5, but since then we've cut out a lot of our old group of friends. Their lives went into a less productive direction than we were comfortable with haha, so with the exception of my best friend, the people I'm closest too are friends I made in film school

I don not have a " bestfriend " except for my boyfriend..

My bestfriend in college has lots of other bestfriends and my high school bestfriend is a lifetime away...

Some of the best relationships are when you get alittle older and began to mature. I met my bf 19 yrs ago while in the army and we love each ohter and know everything about each other like we grew up together.

i haven´t got a best friend, but most of us went to school together, the whole 12 years of it. I know some of my closest friends since preschool and my newest friends i met this year in college.

I'm getting married soon and all of my bridesmaids are college friends. I'm still in touch with older friends but since college showed my true colors its easier to maintain a real friendship with those people.

my group of close girlfriend & i all went to middle school/high school together. there are 7 of us. the friendships range from one girl who i became friends with in 6th to a couple who joined our group in 9th. even though we're spread out in 3 different states, they're still my closest friends.

My sisters are my best friends so we've literally been friends since diapers. Other than my sisters (I've got 4), I haven't had many good friends for more than 7 years or so. My family always moved too much!

I have one that her mom and my mom used to shop together when we were still in their wombs so we have known each other since BB: before birth!

My two best girlfriends are girls that one I have known since birth bc our moms were best friends since THEY were 4, and my other best girlfriend I have known since 4th grade.

My husband I have also known since birth, we lived on the same street- we even have baby pictures together!
