Researchers at the University of Texas spent five years trying to figure out why we have sex! Professor Cindy Meston concluded that her findings refuted a lot of gender stereotypes-- that men only want sex for the physical pleasure and women have sex because they want love.
After asking 2,000 people why they have sex, all their reasons were assembled and categorized into a total of 237 reasons, including the desire to burn calories, to help them fall asleep, because they were drunk, to feel closer to God, even to get revenge. Thankfully the top reasons were mere attraction to one another, the desire to express their love for each other, and the desire to communicate on a deeper level.
So ladies, since there are already some crazy reasons out there, tell me, is there a reason that you have had sex that isn't already on this list?!

When I was pregnant, we were excited about the baby and wanted it to come a little bit early (like a week early...). So, we had sex to try to put me into labor. (By the way, it didn't work!)

10ailene, we did that too! We don't really know when we got preggers so I don't know if the boy was right on time or if the sex worked, but he came three weeks before the dr.s due date!

18I understand the "closer to God." I'd never word it that way, though. I'd consider it being closer *through* God's intentions.
For my husband and I, I mean. Not for people in general.

20I don't consider the single most intimate thing we can do. I think there's lots of ways to intimate without having sex. I consider it up there, but not the absolute most in and of itself. However, I definitely think that depends on each person's definition of "intimate."
21I think it is as close of a physically connection you can have with another human being. I don't think you could get any physically closer.

25its an activity we get to do together, something we both love and enjoy to no end. its so cool because sex is something i do with him and no one else. and its hella fun! i mean in all honesty, i cant find a better way to spend my time, and plus all the laughter and cuddling that goes into before and after, and all the good feelings that come from it make it irresistable. and DUH it feels amazing.
