1. Being the first member of my family to go to college (and getting a nice big scholarship to help me do it!).

3. Subscribing to Sandra Bullock's philosophy, I learned that I complete me. I'm lucky to have a husband that tolerates me.
Popgoestheworld's are my favorite - seriously. Nothing like something to remind you of how self-sufficient you can be! I think my proudest accomplishment is moving from a tiny town in the
Pacific Northwest to London to start a new life and a new career in publishing. I used to be the girl who couldn't cope with slumber parties when I was little cos I got too homesick! Now I
truly feel like I'm living my dream.
1. Surviving a mentally abusive childhood where my parents told me constantly how my brother and I were the root of all their problems and how they never wished they had children. Not to
mention they tried to raise me to so that I'd be married and pregnant at 16 like my mom, and told me that I belonged at home cleaning all day, women don't need an education or a job.
2. Completing highschool even when my parents tried to force me to work to the point where I would drop out (I worked full time in highschool). They didn't believe in women needing a high
school education (my mom never completed 9th grade). I was only the second female to finish highschool in my family.
3. Going to college, paying for it on my own, with no support from my parents. (They tried to make it so I couldn't go and threatened to kick me out of the family. I was the first person to
ever go to college in my family.
4. Going to grad school on a full ride.
5. Having the courage to walk away from my parents - no longer a part of my life.
6. Making more in my first year out of college than my parents have ever earned in a year. Spiteful and revengeful yes - but after every roadblock they set in my way - it's proof in my mind
that I overcame them.

15my accomplishment is raising 5 beautiful children, ages: 41, 32, 30, 27, & 23.
16Raising my cousin. And Im only twenty one and Im proud to say she is on honors in her second year of high school and just got her temps!!!!!
