The CDC recently released a study all about divorce rates across the US and it appears that couples in some states are better than others at staying together until death makes them part. Take this quiz to see what you know about divorce in America.

5/5. It's sort of weird to me how northern states like NJ and NY...full of very business oriented people have some of the lowest divorce rates -- and some places you expect to be more about family have higher rates.
1I know nothing about the divorce rate. I didn't answer one question correctly. I figured the northeast would have a higher divorce rate.
2I hate how a lot of people say that one out of every two marriages end in divorce. The numbers get...messed up, I guess, by people who keep getting married and divorced and remarried.
3I don't want to take a quiz just to get some info. At least provide a link to the article.
4Nevada was the only one I got right - figured with all the Vegas weddings there would be more divorces, ha ha. Definitely don't know much of anything on this topic.
50 out of 5!
6I only knew that Massachusetts had the lowest one. That's where my husband and I live = true love 4 evah!
74 out 5. The last question is a bit confusing. Supposedly 50% of marriages end in divorce. So when it's asking how many out of a 1,000 people, is it asking out of 1,000 married people, or 1,000 people over 18, or just the entire population? Obviously, children are not getting divorced and neither are single people so it seems silly to include them in the statistics.
8Actually, vanonymous, the divorce rate has slowed to around 30%. That's the only one I got right! :S
9Amazing! Just today I was wondering if the number of new marriages has declined, while the divorce rate has inclined due to the economic situation... Interesting!
