As much as I love Chloe Sevigny [1]'s crazy style, I think she's responsible not only for some ugly '80s fashions we're seeing on hipsters everywhere, but even worse, the smug attitudes these folks have about their oh-so-daring fashion forwardness. (Vice Magazine [2] plays a big part in this phenomenon, too.) And thus is born, today's Word of the Day:
Smugly \smug-ly\: The state of being both poorly dressed and arrogant about one's purported fashion-forwardness.
