Have you ever been to the drug store just to pick up tampons, lip gloss or a tabloid magazine and run into one of these things? Billy The Singing Bass or Kung-Fu Hamster? Billy has been known to start singing "Take Me To The River" and "Don't Worry, Be Happy" simply when you walk near him, but the Kung-Fu Hamster will emit the disco classic "Kung-Fu Fighting" only if you push his button. I'm all for kitsch, but I would be embarrassed to own one of these things. What's tackier?

The kung fu hamster only because I used to have one of those singing fish when i was three. I would play it over and over again, and let me say it is extremely tacky and it now collects dust in my basement, but i still think it was a funny little thing.

7The bass is only tackier b/c it has to be displayed. The hampster is a cute little item to sit on your desk or something...I'd play with it if I saw it in someone's office

14I was just going to write the same thing, too, computerdiva! My family members jokingly kept trying to regift two of those annoying fish to each other for a couple of years. One year we ended up with two. When no one was home I threw them away.
15When those hamster things first appeared in stores I thought they were adorable.. I even had one! That got old REALLY quickly.
