I know kids' books can seem a little childish with all the bright colors, huge text, and cartoon-like people, but many of them have hidden messages that adults can really take to heart. These are some of my favorites. Check them out the next time you're in the bookstore and I guarantee they'll spark some memory or feeling inside you. They'll have you tearing up and saying "awwww" in no time. They also make great gifts for the people in your life who have everything.

Et Vous
I love children's books! I just gave my boyfriend, who's in his twenties, The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) in French, as he's brushing up his French and I thought it was such a great story to practice with! I also love classics such as The Velveteen Rabbit and of course, Good Night Moon.
1Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree"
2deExpury "Le Petit Prince"
Heinrich Hoffman's "Strewelpeter"
2 books are my absolute fav
3Robert Munsch I'll love you forever
and Lisa Tawn Bergen's God gave us you
BEAUTIFUL SWEET BOOKS
I have childrens books amongst my coffee-table books. They're nice quick reads and usually have beautiful illustrations!
4My kids gave my "Your Personal Penguin" by Sandra Boynton for Christmas this year. It has an accompanying mp3 song sung by Davy Jones that is adorable!
I highly recommend Sandra Boynton for kids or adults.
5i second the votes for the little prince and the giving tree. I'd also include, as relationship advice for adults: The Missing Piece, Shel Silverstein. Also, most Dr. Suess, esp. the Lorax one and Oh! The Places You'll Go. Oh, and the Chronicles of Narnia ... actually there are too many to name!
6I hope I never outgrown children's books.
7Yes yes yes to "The Lorax"! That was ALWAYS my favorite book. Oh, and "Goodnight Moon".
8I was going to put the Lorax on my List! That's so funny. It's definitely one of my favorites...
