This lucky hippo was found as a baby by a South African man who went on to raise her with his wife...in their house. (She's already broken a couch and a bed, but hey, she's "big boned.") Jessica snacks with this couple's dogs, chugs coffee all day, and gets evening massages. Although she hangs out with the wild hippos nearby, she always manages to return back home. Uh, duh! The only thing that's missing from this spa setting is Jessica's own home entertainment system!

2Aww, I hope she didn't hurt the dog too badly when she stepped on his paw.
3Awww, that is such a sweet story!
4hihi..love the bedding!!! she must eat TONS of food!!
5Haha, incredible! They must spend a fortune feeding her
6haha!
7The dog cuddling up next to the hippo was too cute.
8I love the dog curling up for bedtime with Jessica
That couple is pretty cool for
saving a baby hippos life!
9lucky thing! im human and i dont get that much special attention!!
10Cheers for animal rescue! and for making people aware too...what's rad is that the dogs are pitbulls and they're so passive. gotta love that couple for this.
11Wow! She seems so sweet. I love how she would just open her mouth and wait for the reporter to put another piece of food in her mouth. It's weird that she is accepted by the other hippos but doesn't behave like them.
