The iPhone sure took pop culture by storm. Its debut has inspired countless viral internet parodies and even prompted an on-air robbery (doof!), but who could've guessed that it would give rise to a new kind of modeling: iPhone modeling on e-bay. Lovely ladies are doing it, thumbs are doing it, even kitties are doing it-- cuz it's not like these nifty little units can possibly sell themselves, right? That'll be the day.

Maybe they want the picture to be unique so nobody accuses them of stealing their images? Or maybe they're just the kind of trash that buys their two iPhones from the Apple store so they can sell them on eBay for double price.
1I think it's just competition to have the most eye catching photo. There's got to be tons of these on ebay right now, and guys are probably more likely to buy one being held by a woman in a bikini than someone with just a pic of the phone. It's all about marketing!
2aha! look at that cat
3LOL.
4Haha.
5well it makes me want it less.
6Has anyone out there heard about WideCircles.com. It seems like a way better service then wasting money on PPC. Apparently they are using refering websites ( forums, blogs, wiki, etc. ) and have a viral word of mouth distributed approach to it. My friend told me he got around 100 visits from single post which cost him $0.40c. I am going to give them a try today . In case you are intrested here is it. http://widecircles.com?s=imt1
