Is there any stage of life a woman doesn't have to look good in a bikini? I'm guessing the answer is no. A picture of pregnant women parading around for a pregnant bikini contest has been making the rounds, and when searching around I found another image from Big Woodrow's 4th Annual Pre-Labor Day Pregnant Bikini Contest last year in Houston. What do y'all think?

Seems too trashy for pregant women.
GROSS
this is pure trash
New low.
I can't imagine why anyone pregnant would want to walk around in a bikini to be judged - I mean, with morning sickness, stretch marks, weight gain, etc... they can't feel very attractive... then again, that might be why they're participating.
Truthfully, I think it's fine. Some of the women look good, in my opinion. Pregnancy agrees with them.
I've seen worse NON-pregnant women in bikinis. They were unsightly (to say the least).
I am with glowing moon. I think it is fine.
I think it's a fun idea! I would do it!
I think it's fine that they're wearing bikinis.
In general, though, I'm not a fan of bikini contests.
gross. but i say gross about any bikini contest, preggo or not!
Not for me, but to each their own. But to be fair, I have seem some stunning pregnant women.
Is it against the rules, if not, why not?
why not if there happy doing it why not?
You're pregnant, not a vampire. Do what you please. If you want to wear a bikini, fine.
Gross. Why do women insist on deriving their value from what they look like, especially during a period when there are more important things to think about?
I would totally do it if I was preggo! I think it's cute.
I think a woman should be able to wear what she wants and flaunt herself if she feels attractive. This, however, is disgusting to me because they are being judged by drunk men and women as if they are objects. Bikini contests are degrading to me anyways, but if they feel empowered by it, so be it!
I have lived in/near Houston for 20+ years and I've NEVER seen or heard ANYTHING like this!!! Totally disgraceful. Bikini contests are for the people judging rather than the contestants...what exactly does having a pregnant (or any other kind of) bikini contest prove? We don't have Speedo contests for men (do we???)...ugh. To each girl her own, but...ick.
Pregnant bellies gross me the heck out, so that's a big ick for me.
Kind of funny, kind of creepy... not that there's anything wrong with a pregnant body, it's just weird to turn it into a contest.
oh wow i think she looks hot...am all for it....
I don't see why so many people think it's gross and degrading. Women carry babies, and a pregnant bikini contest is showing off part of what makes being a woman awesome. I think it's cool. (plus, you see people all the time being embarrassed about being pregnant... would be nice to see more confidence).
Did you know in Victorian times women were expected to hide in their homes while they were pregnant because it was considered disgraceful to be seen in public? Like they had some sort of a disease. Now THAT was disgraceful and demeaning. That girl shown looks great to me. Lighten up everyone.
Neither, I think its cute as long as there is no raunchiness around it (no pun intended) cuz then its just trashy
I think that as long as the contest is conducted in a respectful manner, there is nothing wrong with it. To me it shows that people are accepting of pregnant women as beautiful and pregnancy as something to be celebrated. I am sure pregnant women with morning sickness or who are uncomfortable showing their bodies will not participate. But those comfortable with it will probably feel affirmed that their condition is beautiful and natural, not something to hide or be embarassed by.
No way! Who knows what these contests might drive women to do? I could see some of them getting really serious and competitive and going to lengths like... eating less and exercising excessively to look better in bikinis.
i think pregnancy looks beautiful. i work at a pool and love seeing the pregnant women showing it off by wearing bikinis.
if you're comfortable, then why not show off how amazing it is. this doesn't seem to me like it's about being judged, it's for the women who choose to participate. people need to lighten up
Can't stand that... just seems so trashy these days... its the way the women carry themselves, really... they can make it look very nice and respectful or they can look like dirty wh*res... a contest will ensure that they will look like dirty wh*res. Plus I agree with an above comment about how it could be unhealthy because of them trying to appear fit, although they are pregnant.
As a pregnant woman, I think that it's wonderful. If I was farther along right now, I'd still wear a bikini because I think that my growing belly is beautiful and shouldn't be covered up. As for the people who think that pregnant bellies are gross and disgusting, I find that a very hurtful way to express your feelings on the subject. You could be a lot nicer and still express your opinion.
Gross
i'm shocked at all the people who think this is "gross." pregnant bellies are (for the most part) so beautiful ! seriously, people really do need to lighten up.
I think pregnant women are beautiful too. What my first comment was supposed to convey is that I think the bikini contest is beneath pregnant women. I think their condition is so much more.... elegant than that? I guess?
sham, that makes sense to me.
I have always thought that pregnant women in bikinis look trashy. And I don't really have a logical explanation for why, because in reality what is wrong with it? But to me it's just trashy. I don't necassarly see a problem with this contest as long as its purely for fun. When one of these women starts to diet or exercise too much to win, then it's no longer funny.
These contects preggers or not are tacky. Its sad these women has nothing better to do with their time.
*contests
Bikini contests are already horrifying. I think this is hilarious.
I think everyone who is comfortable to wear a bikini, or anything else, is entitled to.
I personally hate the beach, the sun and the idea of being around half-naked people, but I don't believe that you should have a certain body type/weight/etc. to be "deserving" of wearing a bikini. If you don't like the sight, just turn the other way and don't stare! (duh!)
There is nothing hotter and sexier than a beautiful pregnant woman!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Well, if pencil-thin models aren't your thing, LOL!
This just shows a woman can be beautiful regardless of age or physical condition. If they're truly beautiful, let'em show it off a little. Besides, what mom-to-be doesn't have a little inner beauty? Posing like this simply lets it out, hence that 'glow' that moms-to-be give off.
This is just trashy, I can't understand women who wear bikini's when they're this far along, or mid drifts or anything like that! It's absolutely tasteless
I think pregnant women can be very sexy. Look at Heidi Klum, Angie Everheart or Kendra Wilkinson. All of them were pregnant this year, and Everheart and Wilkinson even showed off their bellies on several occasions. You can't tell me that these women aren't sexy!
