Psychology, before Martin Seligman arrived on the scene, focused on trauma, grief, and sadness. (Thanks, Doktor Freud!) But when Seligman started his Positive Psychology field around 10 years ago, he believed that the science of happiness could help people learn how to be happier. Ten years later, he and his researchers have modified their theories. Take this quiz to see what you know about the science of happiness!

After suffering with clinical depression for a little under 10 years, I can definitely say that no amount of writing or anything could ever get me out of that depression. Meds helped, but what truly helped was my changing my circumstances. A lot of people have high hopes for their journaling feelings and such -- but rehashing your feelings to a journal can make some people less happy. I would know.
Anyway I am not terribly shocked by these answers.
1I think the low scores are DEPRESSING...
2Got three wrong, and I was SO sure I had 100%.
3I answered the way I wish it would be, I guess.
I got all 7 right..............hmmmmmm 100%..lol guess I know happiness...
4ooh I only got 5/7...and I took a course in college based on Seligman's findings! "Sociology of Happiness." And I was a Sociology minor! Yikes.
5i wouldve gotten 100% but i read the lottery question wrong, i thought it asked if they WERE happier grRrr
6I thought I would do really bad because all I knew about happiness was that money doesn't make you happy and that the happier you are the longer you live. I actually ended up getting 6 of 7!!! I missed a really simple question though.
7wow. 3 out of 7..
8yayy 5/7 lol
