I feel I fit in more with the middle and older child, though I am the youngest of two. My sister and I are 5 years apart so maybe that has something to do with it.
I am most definitely a firstborn, and my boyfriend is absolutely a middle kid. Interestingly, I am also friends with his younger sister (who is hilarious, btw) and it's been fascinating to
watch how much the birth order carries over to their adult selves.
I am a very good mix of middle and youngest. I am the baby of family, but I am more responsible than most of the youngest born people I know. I am immensely more responsible than my older
sister. She is technically a middle child but when we were raised it was just me and her. She exhibits youngest child traits to a "T"
I'm more of a first child, with a sprinkle of both middle and youngest, but I am the youngest of 3. I am 10 and 6 years apart from my brothers so maybe it kind of started over again? I'm
super responsible as are both my brothers and I do like to be center of attention, but only when I want it, usually I like to be by myself or in a small group. I get exhausted by too many
social activities.
I'm a middle child and the description fits me pretty well, except I'm the funny one. My brother (the baby) never cracks a joke and my sister (the oldest) just laughs at all my jokes.
my kids fit too, with the exception that my oldest child is severely disabled, so my middle daughter is has stepped into the role of oldest. we actually get comments like "she's the middle
girl?! what's the oldest one like?" because my middle daughter is so focused and driven.
i definitely think birth order molds and shapes us.
I'm the youngest, and I typically match what's said about youngest children, though I didn't match Tres's summary particularly well. My siblings were old enough when I was born that they
didn't feel threatened by me, so I don't have that extrinsic drive to be competitive with them.
I am the middle child and I think the description is me. But I also relate to the youngest. My younger sister is ten years younger so I was the baby for ten years before she was born. Does a
that make a difference in "birth order" if there is a huge gap in years?
I definitely carry the characteristics of a firstborn. Except for the fact that a career is not something that motivates me at all (I tend to interpret the description as meaning a firstborn
is career driven). In every other aspect of the birth order I fit. My siblings are the same, except the middle sister is the one who is the comedian (I think that is her device for getting
attention) and the youngest is very much as described (other than the sense of humor). Pretty interesting stuff. The birth order descriptions definitely make me reinforce my desire to have
only one child.
Well, I'm a little different. I was raised by my Grands as the youngest, but when my Dad was around, I was the only, and then when I went to my Mom's, I was the oldest. Basically, I'm
everything but a middle because I'm a youngest, only, oldest child.
