If you were like me, you would know exactly what to take if you had to evacuate your house in a hurry. I would grab my photo albums, my jewelry and my memorabilia box that holds old letters, cards, and special little keepsakes that are irreplaceable. So ladies, if you had only 5 minutes left in your apartment or house before it was destroyed forever, do tell, what personal belongings would you want to save?

Photos definitely! Laptop, hard drive, my husband and I's memory box, and of course, the kitty!
1My favorite pair of jeans, my memorabilia box (it contains photos, notes, keepsakes from over the years)my pillow (I am quite attached to it) and if I still had time left after that, anything I that was within reach.
2My kitties, box with CD backups of photos, documents and such, photo albums, purse.
3My computer tower, my passport application (it took me FOREVER to find a guarantor), some random clothes I can stuff on the pile, and my wallet with all my identification & birth certificate.
4Picture albums, a few select clothing items, and my favorite pillow & blanket.
5My kitties, my back up cd w/pictures, my wedding album, my jewelry box, a few pieces of clothing and a piece of pottery my brother made me for my 21st b-day. Wow, that's a long list, I better grab the items fast!!!!
6Well, first of all I would grab my son. That's the most important. Then I would grab his "Blankie" that he takes everywhere with him. Since I have no photo albums, I would grab my laptop, since every photo I have is on there. And then I would grab my parakeets.
7I am taking my purse and my dog and running the heck out!
8I would grab my son and his favorite blankie and stuffed kitty. Then I'd grab the three scrapbooks I have, my purse and my black work bag, my "life" is in those two bags.
9My kittens, my backup drive, and the folder with my passport, birth certificate etc.
10That easy, my dog and my purse (so that I have a phone to call 911) and then get the hell outta there! I would NEVER forgive myself if I left my dog in there.
11OH goodness...first I would shoo out the two cats and the dog, then grab photos, and whatever clothes I could grab. You're gonna need those eventually! And like Prisslilbadass said, my purse. It has lots of goodies in it
12AND! I'd make sure the hubby was out...lol. Can't forget about him!
13The dogs and my purse, and if I had time I'd grab important documents (birth certificates, etc.), the laptop, and our wedding album. Everything else is easily replaced. I actually carry a flash drive around in my purse with backups of the music and photos I store on the computer that I don't want to lose.
14I agree with everyone on photos, my passport, and most importantly MY HANDBAGS!!!
15My dogs, laptop, pictures, important documents and jewelry.
16my laptop, photos, and favourite dvds
17oh yeah - and ofcourse my passport.
18I work in insurance and not even two hours ago one of our policyholders called to say his house was on fire and his family was okay, but they couldn't find one of their pets. I feel so bad for him and his family.
If I was in the situation I would grab my dog, my purse, my teddy bear (it used to be my mom's), my accordian file where I keep my passport and all my bills and other important info, my computer if it was possible.
19My purse, my camera, hard drive (for all the pictures there), photos of my dad (not on my computer), few pieces of jewelry that are sentimental, stuffed cow my grandpa gave me, slides of pictures my dad took, passport...
There's probably something I'm forgetting!
)
20my computer, photos, some jewelery and a few family heirlooms to pass on to the next generation.
21My entire family's legal documents (ie birth certificates) are all stored in a briefcase, so obviously that first. Then the laptop, computer tower, family photo albums, and my baby pillow.
I'd like to assume the rest of my family would be smart enough to get themselves out safely.
22Journals, photo album, picture of my mother, my cell phone...my guitar maybe.
23My cats, MONEY, photo albums (although there are too many to carry) and my jewelry...everything else can be replaced including my passport.
