We're scouring the juicy (but anonymous!) secrets posted on Truu Confessions and letting you weigh in. This week a confessor's sleep talking is causing her relationship problems.
My boyfriend is so close to breaking up with me because apparently I have been saying my ex's name when boyfriend cuddles me in the middle of the night. I have zero feelings for the ex, so why is this happening?
Do you think this is a big deal?

1If the girl doesn't have any feelings for her ex, that's all that really matters
2I always talk in my sleep and yes sometimes I do have dreams about my ex or other people and I sometimes say their names. But who cares? Having a dream about someone does not mean you still have feelings for them. If her boyfriend wants to break up with her just because of a name she said when she wasn't even aware of that then there's probably something else wrong in that relationship.
3OMG for the BF. Yea just b/c you had a dream about someone does not mean you still love him, but if I was with my bf and he said his ex name out loud I wouldn't like that.
4If she doesn't have feelings for the ex then it shouldn't matter to the BF. And if she isn't aware she is saying it then he could be completely lying about it as a way to break up with her. which would obviously mean something else is wrong with this relationship
5My ex (as of recently) recently started things in his sleep too, luckily no names but definitely has mumbled somethings that caught me off guard - like "goodnight, I'll meet you in your room." You can't blame a person for what they dream as it's out of their control but it's a bit daunting and makes you wonder whats going on during the waking hours
6i don't think its a big deal but i can understand why her bf would be upset.
7I got a puppy this weekend, and keep accidently calling him by my last dog's name. Is it because I pine for little Allegra? No, it's just an old habit. I don't think this is any big deal.
8I'm guessing the person has been with her ex-boyfriend considerably longer than with her current one, so it's a habit thing.
I understand it's hurtful for the guy, but I hope he believes her when she explains it.
9I dream about my ex sometimes, but he's one of my best friends now. Same with most of my boyfriend's ex's, all good/best friends of his. If either of us said our ex's names in our sleep, it would be understandable, since they are good friends we've known for a long time.
Now, if he screamed one of his ex's names durring sex (well, one of his ex's has the same name as me...), THEN I'd be a bit concerned...
10if his girlfriend was saying her ex's name in another situation, such as during sex then he would have something to worry about!
in your sleep- i understand why it would've taken him aback, but i don't think there's something to worry about as long as she's embarrassed by it and explains there's nothing wrong. it's her reaction to the news he should gage rather than the fact she'd done it x
11The girl has a problem. I understand it might happen unconditionally, but what will happen next is when your having sex, you'll be screaming your ex's name. :/
12Sometimes when you talk in your sleep something is bothering you or you are under a great deal of pressure. It's odd you are speaking his name. Maybe there is more to the story than being told here, but dreams never make any sense. I would not take anything seriously. Another woman's name though out of my husbands mouth? I guess I wouldn't really like that. I would be investigating that one.
13I wouldn't be threatened, but very interested in why.
