TrèsSugar's July Must Reads
Girl in a Blue Dress
Girl in a Blue Dress opens at a Charles Dickens-like character's funeral, where his wife was not invited. I did not know the dead made guest lists, but his mistresses are there and that would be awkward, so suffice it to say, she was not invited.
But, whatevs, she receives a better invitation — one from Queen Victoria herself. When she discovers how much the two have in common, she finds the strength to see the man her husband was — a disrespecting, cheating liar (albeit a genius). She then confronts his two mistresses — one being her own sister. Nineteenth century drah-maa! Out July 14.
