June is LGBT Pride Month. Here in San Francisco, we're at the epicenter of it all right now as it's SF Pride weekend. In honor of the events and parades held around the world this month in order to "educate the world, commemorate our heritage, celebrate our culture, and liberate our people," here are my favorite stories we've covered with similar intentions here on TrèsSugar.

Happy Pride!
1wish i was there! peace and love to everyone gay straight whatever makes you happy! hopefully soon the celebration will be bigger because everyone will have the same rights
2come on obama gay marriage 2009! legalize it ..and weed!!!
Happy Pride, indeed! This month, my fiance and I decided that we would be skipping traditional favors at our upcoming October wedding. Since we now live in a state with, frankly, atrocious laws regarding gay rights, and since we have chosen to legally marry despite the fact that so many other couples do not have this choice, our guests will find notecards at their tables stating the following:
"In lieu of traditional favors, a donation has been made to (name of charity) to further the cause of marriage equality. It is our hope that every loving, committed couple will be able to share the joy that we feel today"
Here's what I need from you guys... who should I donate to? I would like our money to go somewhere that will actually put it to efficient use. Any ideas? The group need not be state oriented (we're in Texas), and can certainly be national.
