Have you ever spied your dream lover in the frozen food section of Trader Joe's but were too shy to start a conversation or flirt? Maybe you were moved to post a prose poem on Craigslist's oddball "Missed Connections" section, writing to that person in the hopes that they would read your true feelings, remember who the hell you were, and contact you.
Still don't understand what Missed Connections is? Here's what the superharsh Craigslist genie has to say about it: "If you’re too much of a mush-butt to approach a person in the real world, you post an ad on Craigslist hoping that person is a pathetic loser who goes on to Craigslist and searches for losers who are searching for him.” Ouch!
There’s much to recommend this video, but just when you think the hilarity is done with, the real comedy comes in. This poor, shy soul's cat starts dissing her, calling her a “cat lady” and asking why she wears such long skirts. Sigh. Maybe this is what cats are all really thinking when they sit there and stare at us!

i've always thought the missed connections thing was a funny idea, and love hearing the "love connections" and happily ever after stories that come from these postings
but you're right...when was the last time you went onto craigslist to see if you could find a mysterious stranger who passed you in the night? hahaha this is hilarious
1lmao, the cat was killing me softly!
2the only funny thing about this is the cat!!
3I wondered the same about ppl actually checking to see if they were a missed connection...
4LMAO! Craigslist is the new blog/myspace so to speak. It sounds kinda stalkerish btw...
Before Craigslist: Blogs/Myspaces read: " I met the most AMAZING person today at the supermarket. They were so beautiful/handsome. I hope to seem them again"
Craigslist: Hey. I saw you at the supermarket today. You were wearing a blue sweater and I had on blue jeans with a red turtleneck. I saw you by the produce. If you know who you are, PLEASE respond.
