I live in Georgia now (moved here from NJ). I think this is ridiculous. I think it's in part because I am liberal and don't have southern values or have any religious values or anything -- but saying that is just foolish. I don't see why we should give a sh*t why we care about what people do or don't do. If no one had an abortion, I'm sure that the orphanages would become more crowded, or hey, we'll have more people murdering a young child.

If abortion was made illegal we would have more back alley abortions resulting in more deaths of women. Girls would do harm to their bodies so they can have a miscarriage (like a friend of my sister). Extreme cases would end up in murder (example Casey Anthony who was pressured into motherhood by her mother; women who want to keep their babies don't kill them and then go on clubbing like nothing happened) and probably result in a higher drop-out rate of high school and college students. And a slew of other things. Illegal abortion is not an option under any circumstances I don't care what you believe or what the bible says (because this same bible also says the races shouldn't mix and homosexuals are sinners).

Certain people of a certain political group don't see that the solution to less abortion is more education and support for women who do decide to have their babies.

bou ou...Although I am pro choice, I can understand fighting against late term abortion. People don't get that babies are living cells. Cells inside our bodies reproduce and die every day. We don't hear people fighting against those natural processes. If they keep this up pretty soon, people are going to start having unsafe abortion in their own bathtubs. Most of those people against abortions are men. Men who know nothing about pregnancy.

Late term abortion is ALREADY ILLEGAL, except in cases where the health of the mother is jeopardized.

I don't think abortion is OK, but I'm certainly not going to go off and kill a doctor for performing one or try to threaten a woman who is having one. Everyone is given free will for a reason. We all have to learn to make our own choices and it's wrong to try and take away someone else's choice or their voice because you don't agree with them

Any crazy person can run for governor. In the last Minnesota Gubernatorial election, there was a candidate who was a self-proclaimed vampire. Part of his platform was the deal with violent criminals by impaling them in public. I think it's best to ignore these types, though I wish the Guardian agreed with me.
