Fierce at 50 and Beyond
We're told every day by the media that young starlets and teen models are the standard of beauty. But beauty is also wisdom, experience, intelligence and talent. Since we'll all hit 50 at some point (if we're lucky), it seems fitting to celebrate women 50 and beyond who radiate inner and outer beauty. After seeing the
Huffington Post's recent feature on fabulous over 50 women, I decided to offer my own two cents.

YAY! for (us) older women! (Ahem.) One reason I think they look fabulous ~ NO apparent plastic surgery, they are just aging naturally and gracefully. Let's see if all those 'Desperate Housewives' types and their ilk look so good when they are that age in the not-so-far distant future. I mean, look what Meg Ryan has done to herself, it's just sad.
1These stars, these exceptional women give everyone something to think about as life and age makes a sharp divide through those who maintain thier health and those who do not. These are the success stories and the standards we should live up too as much as possible.
2Great list. All beautiful, sexy and accomplished women. We should all be so lucky to look like and have the inner radiance of these women when we reach 50 and beyond.
3A good list.
There is something that strikes me about these women. While I respect this as a personal choice, it seems that most of these women (if not all) have colored their hair to a more youthful color. This leads me to wonder: Do these women really embrace EVERYTHING about being 50 years old, like graying hair? Or are they still being influenced by the idea that being youthful is better? Just a thought.
Again, I admire all the women on the list. The dyed hair color was just something that struck me, that's all.
4all extremely beautiful. one woman i don't see on the list who is to me one of the most elegant and inspiring women of any age is jennifer saunders. she gives me hope that women can be smart, beautiful and funny without any apologies. she's the best!

6Love Angela, Diane and Susan. Susan Sarandon, to this day, can pull off sexy better than most 21-year-old women.
