After the stress of a wedding, a relaxing honeymoon is the perfect way for newlyweds to kick off wedded bliss. But for a couple without that much vacation time, the honeymoon could be their only excuse to explore that place in the world they've always wanted to see — even if that place doesn't come with beaches! Plus, some people get a little bored lounging around after a few days.

I say save the relaxing for the evening and night, and spend your days doing something exciting together -- which can produce feelings of love, and give you even more of a high. For me, I would love to have one really awesome adventure everyday -- maybe skydiving over Maui, or taking a hot air balloon over the Serengeti (obviously, what we would do would depend on the place) and then spend some time at museums, checking out the tourist attractions, finding the best food, etc.
I hope I have a nice honeymoon, where we do something thrilling and relaxing. That would be perfect.
1I'm someone who has to be doing things when on vacation. I can lounge in the sun anytime, but when else am I ever going to zipline through the jungle?
2You can do both if that is your style. After our wedding we headed to over the water bungalows in Panama and kayaked and snorkeled during the days with Spanish champagne at night. We followed that with rafting class 3 and class 4 rapids in Costa Rica.
3I need adventure. It's so much more bonding, too. This calls to mind the Sex and the City episode where Miranda and Steve go on a long weekend "honeymoon" and she gets totally antsy because "sex is the only thing on the menu!"
No thanks.
4Our honeymon was a little bit of both. We went to Italy, and we really wanted to take in the country and the different places we visited, so our days were pretty full. But we also had plenty of alone time and relaxation at night and we even spent one of our days basically holed up in the hotel room because we were so tired and needed a break. I think with every vacation it's important to have some activiites on the agenda so you don't get bored, but it's also important to also be flexible enough to take some down time.
5My boyfriend are not super adventurous people - neither of us like heights, so skydiving or hot air ballooning sounds awful! We're happy beach bums, so a trip to somewhere tropical to laze on the beach and maybe try some snorkeling or surfing is adventurous enough (hey, to be honest, the plan is an adventure in and of itself, neither of us are very comfortable flying, though we do do it!).
We're also big history/museum buffs, and anthropology majors, so that might be more our "adventure" speed ... a trip to Mexico to lay about at a resort with an excursion to museums and/or ruins would be fabulous!!
6Totally depends on how close the honeymoon is to the wedding. We're doing delayed honeymoon (April wedding, Sept. trip), so we're going the adventurous root since we'll be up for a big Costa Rica trip! But right after the wedding, we were like zombies and just hang around doing nothing for a couple days. That was pretty nice too.
7ugh, sorry. *route*
8I wish there were a "both" option!!!
9How can you say one is "better?" Personally, after bridezilla-ing it up for months, I'm going to want to relax. My friend who got married Friday is hiking today. I don't think that lounging around and reading is "better" than her ourdoor event, I just think we have different styles.
10Adventurous, of course! I can relax at home...
11We left literally the day after our wedding (didn't expect to) and had a relaxing honeymoon. If we'd have done a delayed honeymoon we would have done something much more exciting.
12Adventurous - nothing extreme but busy and active
. My logic is there is plenty of
time for a relaxing vacation in the future. Now is the time to experience and have fun!
13Adventurous! I've always had adventurous summer vacations so why shouldn't my honeymoon be any different? I'm sure i'll find a hubby who likes doing crazy, adrenaline-pumping activities.
14BOTH!
15Both! Thailand is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. I jumped off a 50 foot cliff!
16Both!
17I think that relaxing in a more adventurous location is a nice vacation. You can lounge around and roam the new and exciting place, spend whole days inside, and when you get bored to do something crazy!
