I thought this was a joke, but this career strategist must have seen these words in resumés before if she’s cautioning job-seekers not to use them. So, uh, if you were planning on telling a prospective employer you’re “habitually pregnant” or an “awesome Republican” — yeah, don’t do that.
Here are some words not to put on your resumé:
- Awesome
- Democrat
- Chronically ill
- Habitually pregnant
- Atheist
To see what else you shouldn't add to your resumé, read more
- Amazing
- Phenomenal
- Cool
- Spectacular
- Liberal
- Conservative
- Republican
- Monotheistic
- Polytheistic
- Healthy
- Diabetic

I was surprised for atheist, but it's better not to write about religion on a resumé yeah ^^
1But that lot is funny !
Habitually Pregnant? Dear lord!
2What if you're an Awesome, Chronically ill, Habitually pregnant, Atheististic Democrat?
Politics, religion, and reproductive habits are stupid to put on a resume.
3Don't say you're healthy? Uh. Pretty sure that plays a huge part in getting any type of physical labour job? It's good to put something along the lines of healthy, physically fit, etc.
4What's wrong with Phenomenal?
5I really hope these weren't culled from actual resumes.
6yea you want to keep your beliefs, personal life, politic preferences out of your resume.
7I really hope this is for a laugh and people do not need to be told this !
8well how else will people know that i'm spectucular, healthy, awesome person, but sometimes a chronically ill atheist while being a habitually pregnant democrat -if i don't write that out?
lol...i was trying to see how many of those i could fit into one statement. probably a good idea to avoid religion and politics on the resume (unless you're applying for a political job of course). and being habitually pregnant...yikes.
9Yeah, what's wrong with phenomenal?
10I wonder what a priest's resume would look like.
