I used to look forward to the daily puppet shows on "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood." They were off the hook. Now that I'm older, I can't help but wonder about the ritualistic behavior the man demonstrated at the beginning and end of every show. Mr. Rogers was on the air for just under 40 years and he never changed the routine! Check out this clip and ask yourself: was Mr. Rogers crazy or cool?

Most aspects of the show were great for kids, he was calming and educational...on the other hand those puppets always gave me a weird vibe and looking back at them now pretty much terrify me! I'm surprised I didn't have daily nightmares!!
1I loved Mr. Rogers!
2My son and I LOVE Mr. Rogers.
He learns to sing and dance from this show, and my son is deeply in love with the TROLLEY.
It's such a wonderful show for children. I agree that he has that soothing/calming effect to counteract the weirdness of the make-believe neighborhood.
That make-believe neighborhood is..err..something else.
3Aww I loved Mr. Rogers. He was totally nerdy but well intentioned.
4what if i had a neighbor like that id be a little creeped out
5the kid is vry talented though
he looks a lot younger than 12
Haha, yeah, if I KNEW the guy and he was ALWAYS like that, it might be a little hard to deal with. But for an hour (?) a day, he was awesome. The ritualistic part is kind of 'age old' kid-raising stuff. Just getting used to doing some of the same things every day helps kids wind-down and know what to expect.
He used his show to teach kids about all kinds of things. And I've heard several times that in *real life* he was super cool, too.
6I loved Mr. Rogers! I still remember my little kid ritual of Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers every morning before school...the Land of Make Believe is about the cheapest production you can find, but I still loved it.
7mr.rogers was so cool!
8Mr. Rogers was awesome!
I loved his show when I was younger. I was sad when I heard
the news that he died...he was an amazing man.
9He was Crazy/Cool.
10A happy mix of both.
11i always loved him when i was growing up, but now his show seems kinda weird, he freaks me out a little
12R.I.P, Mr. Rogers. I loved that show. I think he was amazingly cool.
13I loved that man. He was straight-up crazy cool. That's why he was so awesome! The other day I let the little boy I take care of watch Mr. Rogers for the first time (he's not usually interested enough in anything on TV to watch for more than a couple of minutes) and he was completely enthralled. So now there's one more Mr. Rogers fan in the world.
14OMG, I just watched the clip. The man had break dancing on his show. Of COURSE he was cool!!
15Okay, so this clip freaks me out a little, but I loved Mr. Rogers growing up. It was such a great show!

17mr. rogers was nuts but i think that's why kids love him so much. i used to watch it everyday. i did hate king friday though. he was such a bully!
18awww man, I miss Mr. Rogers.
19i love that guy.
How could you not love Mr. Rogers? Dude rocked cardigans before they were in style.
20Aww I loved Mr. Rogers! Best kids show ever, IMO
