Marion Cotillard blew me away as French icon and tortured chanteuse Edith Piaf in the biopic La Vie En Rose.
The talents behind her hair and makeup transformation deserve props, but Cotillard's fierce and wrenching portrayal of Piaf, particularly in her ravaged morphine addiction phase, totally earned her that Oscar. And . . . just look at her!

6Yeah...I hear even Christian Bale developed a little harmless professional crush on her during filming of Public Enemies with Johnny Depp. Hope he campaigns for her to audition with Chris Nolan's next turn in Batman 3. She would be the perfect Catwoman. The comic book version from Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale is how it should be visioned with her.
7I resent her comments about 9/11 too much to have any respect for her. I think she retracted the quote, but even if she didn't mean it, her comments were careless and insensitive.

11I saw her in "Love Me if You Dare" (awesome movie) a few years ago, and was so psyched she became as famous and recognized as she did with her Edith Piaf portrayal.
12Love Me if You Dare was the first movie I saw her in, and I've been such a fan ever since. That is a great, romantic, quirky movie that people would love.
13I completely agree about "Love Me if You Dare", great film. I think it's really sweet she and Guillaume (who, btw, used to be married to Diane Kruger) are dating in real life now.
